  • There is something off about it being derived from Astro Boy . Sure Kimba was directly ripped , but in this case I am skeptical of JP being a rip. Why? Because Tezuka himself was influenced by the same stories ala "The Lost World" which he later made one himself . Also, the stories are radically different in execution since the book itself goes into huge detail of the corporate level and the process for like 100 pages after a girl gets attacked by some creatures off some Costa Rican island.

  • @BigDogLtd

I don't recall a girl being attacked in Astro Boy do you? The first book has many elements which were spread amongst the three films it is not funny but for the matter, the first JP film takes from a few elements of the book but has no dinosaurs kidnapping children, no robotic ones , just an island where the park isn't even OPENED and given a est run which goes wrong and results in its closing.

If anything , JP and this episode are done by great minds who just happened to discover

  • @BigDogLtd

slightly similar stories inspired by olden films and novels the precede both authors. And about that girl attacked by small dinos in the first book , it was put in the second oddly and made no real sense in the context of the story.

  • Lol nice end shot!

  • You know, I think the maker of this video is on to something!

  • muy rebuscado, todos sabemos que el %95 de los argumentos de las películas de hollywood son ideas trilladas

  • If your looking for a place to watch this online then i suggest theonlinecinema. net/astro_boy all the others sites here dont work, spent near 2 hours looking for astro boy, and this is the only site that gives me exactly what im looking for. theonlinecinema. net/astro_boy

  • most of this didn't happen in the book. the movie definitely took stuff though

  • Well, I don't know about all of it, but the frog thing really did match up! lol!

  • The resebles shown in this video are a strech to say that this inspired Jurassic Park. And what we must also not forget is Jurassic Park was originally a book by Michael Crichton. And the resemblences between the book and this episode of astroboy are remarkably less, and the few resembelances are even more of a strech.

  • rofl i love the resemblence

p.s the sounds the dinosaurs make in astro boy is jokes!!!

  • michael crichton began writing in the early 80s. these similarities just show how smart people think. the book wasn't this similar

  • I have loved dinosaurs since ever, I remember that Astroboy chapter and it was my favorite one.

  • Nice shot of that woman's ass at the end. Otherwise, I totally see where you're coming from, and I think it's very interesting.

  • what is the season of asrto boy at 1:32?

  • umm something tells me astroboy wasnt warning against unregulated science like JP was.

  • or just questionable science in general. just like the fly or any other science movie where things go wrong. Science can always be questionable wheter the outcome is good or bad you know? ;]

  • either way dude we dont care JP is the best movie ever.

  • That's an interesting concept you have there, HuggLinton. I've seen Jurassic Park, and I'll check out that "Dinosaur Dilemma" when I rent that AstroBoy disc from Netflix.

Does someone out there have a video of "Dinosaur Dilemma" on YouTube?

  • Who cares?

  • You know, this is pretty likely. The original Astro Boy series was in the '80s, and Jurassic Park was published in 1990.

    The similarities are pretty similar.

  • This is pretty interesting. It might be a possibility. But Micheal Crihton would have said so if he was inspired by this cartoon.

  • hey, greasyfetus69... "Micheal Crihton would have said so if he was inspired by this cartoon." Yeah, right! Like Disney said do when they cloned Kimba The White Lion into the Lion King!!!

  • yeah, that cartoon is like a twin to that animated film... '_^

  • I totally agree with resioutbreak There is no way in hell.!!!!!!!=#

  • how dare you say jurassic park was inspired by a crap cartoon...burn in hell!

  • It's all coincidence. Besides, most of the scenes weren't even the same as the Astro Boy themes.

  • Whats the point of Ellie's ASS right at the end? hahaha.

  • whats the purpose of tis

  • no its not none of those scens matched in anyway!

  • no, cus the movie is based on a book, damn astro boy sucks

  • To answer the question: NO.

  • I'm basicly a God at random association because I did nothing but trip for 2 years but I don't see anything in this.

  • personally I couldn't care less whether it was

  • To honest i think it is a coincidence

  • lol nice ending hahahaha

  • well goku ripped off his hair style, megaman ripped off the cannon arm from the astro boy manga... so it might just be true

  • Many things - especially the 'style' in Megaman is ripped from Astro I notice. Even the saying in Megaman X in japan: "Lets Rock It" is ripped from Astro's "Let's Rocket." Haha!

  • lol!

  • lol....just might be true!!!!!

    lmao

  • "Michael Crichton had much better things to do that watch Astro Boy"... I'm sor-ry? He spent THREE years in Japan, where he "soaked" up and inspired himself from Japanese culture. I am sure that when it came time to make a movie from his book, he confined the source of its inspiration to Steven Spielberg who sat down watching it, grinning ear to ear, conspiring his plan for world domination!

  • nice ass at the end lol

  • As matter of fact ... that's one of my favorite shots in the whole film. I always pause.

  • No Steven spelburg diceded to make a movie out of michal Critains book Jurassic park.

  • about the comment by theheraldcrow that is

  • lol no it's coincidental

  • I like the last second of this clip the best.

  • hahahahhahahaha I was gonna say the same thing!

  • lol, no

  • No...I don't think so

  • Sorry, HuggLinton, but this video doesn't prove anything. You're comparing Astro Boy with the movie Jurassic Park. The novel and the movie differ. For example, you compared a scene where Dr. Grant told Ellie how he disliked children. In the novel, Grant loved children and if I remember correctly, was the author of dinosaur picture books. The same thing happens with your other comparisons, so basically a lot of your evidence was proven false.

  • Another thing, a ton of scenes just didn't need to be compared. Such as those food scenes. Just because there's a scene with a lot of food doesn't make it inspired from anything. In Jurassic Park, they were at a restaurant. What did you expect there would be?

  • yes but they are saying the book is inspired by the episode but they used the movie cuz how do u sho clips from a book?

  • No, the film was inspired by the book of Jurassic Park written by Michael Crichton. I doubt the cartoon episode inspired anything.

  • Youve gotta be kidding me. Seriously kidding me to think that any of this matches up. ANY. The whole frog thing looks similar, ok, but thats just by pure luck. Please, for the love of god tell me this was a joke?

  • There isn't enough evidence to support the claim.

  • nothing like jp and the clips dont match up

  • no

the only thing similair is the frog thing

  • there have been uncountable steals from anime...ever hear of the Lion King? The Matrix? Mighty Morphin Power Rangers? Bicentenial Man? A.I.?

  • Yeah, but those are SHOWS stealing from SHOWS. I HIGHLY doubt that a novel would be based off some children's anime. I'm sure that Michael Crichton had much better things to do that watch Astro Boy.

  • It is a common thing that an idea appears from Japanese animation.

  • WOW!

  • hmmm...i think they just thought of it, but no one is eaten in astroboy and the book many people are eaten in Jurassic Park

  • no its the other way around jurassic park is actually a book, which inspired the episode maybe but the episode did not inspire the movie the book did

  • Astro Boy aired 1963-1966. Jurassic Park was published in 1990.

  • LMAO thats crazy ahahahaha

  • although their very similar, I think its was by pure chance :|

  • interesante

  • Great Job! would've never notice that

  • Was Jurassic Park Inspired By An Episode Of Astro Boy?Looks that way!
