  • I can't believe you can't find this one...actually this album is pretty easy to find!! i saw many copies of Compas Kum'pas in used records shops in London when i lived there (2004) - but if you want to find a copy withouth troubles, you can go on their discogs page and you'll find so many copies (and with a little extra money, you can buy a close to new copy) - or you can order the recent reissue on Medical Records - which is remastered and 180gr. - discogs doesn't mention any reissues on cd...

  • has anybody found or can upload their song chameleons?

  • Thanks a lot for posting this. I've got the original album, bought new around '81, I think. It was my first exposure to a lot of those bands (including this one). Those were great times, amazing times really.

    Thanks again.

  • I found ths album 20 years ago and then after I moved 5 years ago it vanished. From some of the comments i've read I guess i'd be up shit creek if I tried to find it on cd.

  • @DarthKreeg I ended up scouring my record collection and the internet to find all the songs then burned off a compilation.

  • Thanks for posting

  • I got the lp in 1981 and the song by Dalek i was on Through the back door. It was a compilation by mercury. The high numbers that was original band that the Who became was a mini 45 on the cover. I think album is on cd so look for it.

  • there is no cd of this - made one myself as I have 2 vinyl copies of the album, so took the best one and converted to mp3 from my turntable :)

  • Still have this on LP! I really love this. I was 17!

  • Cant believe I found this. I am aproud owner of Kumpass Compass LP. First listened at Uni in 1990. My fave is African Express. Its on CD.

  • Thankyou for this.

Haha.Flashback, cassettes buses from Glasgow to Sheffield and Liverpool.

'Electronic' music, wots all that about then ? Somewhere I have this on tape, werent Dalek i, sort of made out of bits of other bands ?

  • OMG...I have this album....first time I heard "Underpass".....so began a lifelong obsession....

  • I used to have this LP back in the early 80s. Someone 'borrowed' it after a house party. Such a great compilation but I can't find it anywhere :(

  • What a lovely song! I found their Compass album (inLP form) a Music & Video Exchange shop a long time ago; would love to buy some more of their stuff. If you google "dalek I love you", you should find their website - you can download their demo tracks as MP3s.

  • I am the proud owner of everything by Dalek I Love You & Dalek I :-)

  • I want this CD!!

  • Same as...good luck finding it though. I ended up having to compile the tracks myself!

  • @ghaladgwaith : for some reason this compilation was popular in greece, so if you re ever there you can probably find a vinyl copy. i did :)

  • @ghaladgwaith there are no cd reissues around... that's why you didn't find it :-)

  • This is brill, have tried to find CD...who is on this line up? Half of Teardrop Explodes as well?

  • The guys or half of the duo at least from O.M.D. Circa 1980, thanx.

  • Thanks for saving this.Hey 3.99 what a BARGAIN

  • I recently listened the song as single, plus songs "Happy" and "My Uniform", and all that stuff is good. Dave Hughes is a cool synth player. He provided soundtrack for "Awaydays". Dalek reunion? an utopia? he was contacting different post-punk figures, and i can't doubt if he find Alan Gill (an underrated guitarist for me).

  • Incredible, who from those 176 comments remind this wonderful compilation...

This is science fiction music from beyond eighties... Rare talents losed in the broad production of electronics musics

  • Once all they were avant garde. Today are still determinating trends. They were great, they are still great (all the new romantic and techno pop bands)

  • brilliant track the album compass kumpass is even better

  • WHERE CAN I GET KOMPASS???

  • Thanks for this, Ghaladgwaith.

    Great song, great band.

  • No probs... :)

Am trying to find this album myself, my bro' had a copy on vinyl but was scratched to high heaven if memory serves.
