The lyrics are no exact translations (would not work in a song anyway) but the "feeling" is the same.

But I think german lyrics fit better to the band!

Both lyrics are badass. And I like both angel parts [the girl singing] but I think Engel version is more awesome. I mean "We are afraid and alone" <--- I love that part. Its so hypnotic. As for "God knows I don't want to be angel" is freakin awesome. But of course it wouldnt sound right if sung in english. so it's replacement is pretty awesome to. I love how he did slip the german bit in. I love both but the german just sounds a bit more badass. I mean come on... its german XD

@TheNinja4 The English version isn't really the same. The English lyrics aren't quite a translation, some lines are completely different because a direct translation wouldn't work. It follows a similar theme and some lines are translated similar to the original, but it's almost a completely different song. For example, in English he says "God damn not an angel when I die" but a direct translation would be "God knows I don't want to be an angel."

I think more of the problem isn't the language, but they're slightly more monotonous in this version. The voice doesn't descend as much I liked it because of its' vibrating tone and there isn't as much in this.
