the way i see islam is designed for primitive man (non-european). Think of dark ages, europe has passed this period where there were lots of irrelevant rules forced on people. Muslims are at this stage. I would also say that sometimes people translate doctrines wrongly. God was not saying women must cover up, but if they do not, men because of their natures may harm them, so for their protection it pays to do so. Just as in other speach from Khalde it explains that God did not actually say it is good to marry 3 wives, but do it under certain circumstances, but it will have trouble, very often, but its your choice. Women have the same options of choice.

@KOM85maroc The point is if you study the origins of the qur'an from scientific and archeological sources rather than religious sources you find that most of the stories that are in it date from a much earlier period of history, just in the same way as the bible and the torah. In most cases, you will realize that a story in Qur'an is more detailed. But finding some similarities in few stories doesn't mean that Qur'an copied them. I wouldn't stress much on the hijab first. As long as you don't miss the daily prayer, read the quran often, give to the poor, fast during ramadan, everything else will just fall into place sooner or later.
This is especially so for new reverts to Islam. There's no need to rush, as long as you don't take it too slow.
It's all about consistency, and getting into the habit of remembrance to Allah. For He is Most Merciful.

God didn't say anything, man wrote the Q'ran, they told women to dress like that because they can't trust them selves as their brains are in their pants. I would also say that sometimes people translate doctrines wrongly. God was not saying women must cover up, but if they do not, men because of their natures may harm them, so for their protection it pays to do so. Just as in other speach from Khalde it explains that God did not actually say it is good to marry 3 wives, but do it under certain circumstances, but it will have trouble, very often, but its your choice. Women have the same options of choice.

Ask yourself how can the qur'an be gotten from allah in the 7th century when it preaches stories that were written 2500 years earlier?

Because Islam was a WAY OF LIFE BEFORE it was established as a worldly religion. the fact that an illiterate man in the desert knew all of these scattered stories is only proof that the Qur'an is a Divine revelation that reinforces monotheism that the other prophets brought to the other cultures of the world long ago. Those 'stories' likely originated form the teachings of those prophets as well. 124,000 Prophets were sent to various nations of the earth at different times.

@greeny202a Because there are many people who are miss-leaded and get false information about Islam from some haters, Islam-Attackers, people who deny the message of God, people who want to live just free in a lower level than the animals, people who ... etc..
Therefore it is our duty to clarify the lies about the pure message of Islam, and who is clever enough will find Islam is the only way for a peace and safety. Period.

Do you accept that the Muslim's claim that Allah is the God of the Bible and that Islam arose from the religion of the prophets and apostles is refuted by solid, overwhelming archeological evidence. Islam is nothing more than a revival of the ancient Moon-god cult. It has taken the symbols, the rites, the ceremonies, and even the name of its god from the ancient pagan religion of the Moon-god. As such, it is sheer idolatry.

We defend islam from such attacks, either this attack is by arms, or by false informations, like your current comment. If you ask something for seeking of clarify, we are more than glad to answer them.
BTW, Islam is the only religion of God that sent on earth since Adam. If you know what the word "Islam" means, you won't deny that.

And if you have a little piece of knowledge, you will know that a Moon symbol was never a symbol of Islam few hundreds of years ago, it is just a new on Islam, which has nothing to do with the pure Islam. This is the jews and Christians who worship symbols like a Cross and David's star. Get your facts straight, and try to learn Islam from the original sources, not from Attackers.

@TomiTom1234 Well I am certainly not attacking islam but i do question it, i also research most religions, do you accept at least that some of the surahs in the qur'an are derived from older persian, jewish and zoroastrian stories? such as the stories of the jinns, the she camel that lept out of a rock, the 4 dead birds getting up and flying, the man that died for 100 years with no ill effects, the story of the golden calf in the wilderness and ofcoarse jesus making clay birds come alive?

@greeny202a I appreciate your comment and being kind. Yes there are similarity with few stories of the past prophets, but not all of them are exactly the same as in the other old books. In most cases, you will realize that a story in Qur'an is more detailed. But finding some similarities in few stories doesn't mean that Qur'an copied them. I said earlier, God (Allah) didn't send to earth other than Islam.. So the God is One, the source of revelation is ONE also.

I wouldn't stress much on the hijab first. As long as you don't miss the daily prayer, read the quran often, give to the poor, fast during ramadan, everything else will just fall into place sooner or later.
This is especially so for new reverts to Islam. There's no need to rush, as long as you don't take it too slow.
It's all about consistency, and getting into the habit of remembrance to Allah. For He is Most Merciful.
