  • i have this in my body right now. It was a success with the trial assessment and the first couple of months. But right now, it's bad. Its just like if i didnt have it. Only i have electrical little thuds n my body. I was in a car accident when i was 15 and got this did when i was 16. Im 19 now and want to look for an alternative or something. didnt know there were so many ppl with this condition like me, b/c ppl my age dont understand.

  • My life is a living hell at the moment. Frequency, urgency and leakage.I have been told the problem is with my urethra not my bladder. Do you think Interstim could help. My Consultant is keen to try.

  • @iPringleXi

sounds like you could benefit from a bladder study to help with the diagnosis- a urodynamics study, and a subsequent trial of medication(s) for OAB. good luck!

  • my brother is 14 years old and he has had urinary retention for 1 year i wonder can this work for him.

  • @shelley180, although it is not indicated in children under 18yrs old, it has been used successfully in the pediatric population. to see if he is a candidate, he would need to have an in-depth evaluation preferably by a pediatric urologist.

  • I have my TRIAL ASSESSMENT on july 28th in Belgium, I really hope it works because life is hell if you have to live with this problem...

  • Have you had a lot of success in using this on younger women? I'm a 27 year old woman and I have frequency problems, but no leakage or pain. One of my doctors suggested this and I'm mulling it over. I also have two slipped disks in my lower back. Will this aggravate my back pain?

  • I have had bladder issues for many years now and have tried many prescriptions with out really solving my problems. I found out about the interstim on the web and now found this video. I am 58 years old and this looks like something for me after hearing the doctor talk and how happy the patients are.

  • I had this procedure done on Nov.30,2009. There is a remote control for the interstim procedure that I have yet to figure out...I will receive a DVD that will show me.

  • you should have received detailed instructions either before or after your procedure. hope it went well for you!

  • I received more details last week with the urologist and expect a DVD in the mail.....

  • I am having this done in a few days> I am less anxious now because of this video clip.

  • @zekest > Haloo , i was just wondering ihow you were getting on with it? if you dont mind talking about it i would be very grateull

    Thanx Amy

  • could you pls explain your question again? thank you.

  • Please share your experience with the interslim. It would be very helpful. Thanks

  • i would say that at least 75-80% of patients notice a dramatic improvement in their quality of life. hope that helps.

  • Interstim:

This is great information, and my question is > how long does the treatment last before the patient is fully cured? Thanx.

  • in most instances, once the bladder condition gets to this point it requires lifelong therapy. it does not require additional therapy except for a battery change, which is anticipated every 5-8 years. a complete cure is much less common, but possible.

  • @interstim livinpeece hopefully. Three weeks the test and we'll see from there. I will get back to u with my results.

  • Respond to this video...

Thought about this three yrs ago and I've had enough. The thought of not waking up every hour or while out and about will be soooo cool. The video clinched the issue for me. Now I'm waiting for the results.

  • I didn't realize over active bladder was so common. I will forward this on. I think its important to raise awareness and improve quality of life for patients. Thank YOU!!

  • Looks like a great choice for patients suffering from this condition. I've heard horror stories about overactive bladder, I hope this reaches as many sufferers as possible.

  • Very impressive. Congratulations .

  • Excellent, very informative. I look forward to informing my patients about this video. Great help!
