  • @jdgrab1 It's hard to be a fraud and a revisionist, when his website is mostly built on original documents that you can look up yourself in the Library of COngress.

  • @jfsfrnd A Christian is a follower of Jesus and His Teachings, not someone who mearly attends church. Jesus said that the best way to recognize a Christian was by their love for one another. The crown was a persecutor of many believers and that is why they found it necessary to risk their lives in persuit of freedom from that oppression and persecution. So I would disagree with you most strongly....King George does not appear to be a Christian under the standards that Jesus Himself set.

  • @jfsfrnd Just attending a church doesn't mean you are a Christian. Remember the BTK serial killer? He was a deacon in his church and all the while was killing all those women. Just because someone sits in a garage for a week, doesn't make him a car, just as attending church doesn't make you a Christian. As I said before, being a real Christian means accepting Jesus as your Savior and Lord. And BTW, I would be happy to tell that to people who "mearly attend church".

  • after reading about the magna carta it sounds like it was based on the self- discipline principles of the Bible which of course came first. The Maker of all things and people would of course have the recipe for the best way to live in peace with your neighbor. The Ten commandments and "Love Thy neighbor as thyself" came first. The Bible teaches that the king is subject to faults and should be in submission to God and spiritual leaders around him..

  • @AudioMan62 the Magna Carta was a political treaty drawn up between the king, rebel barons and the church and the people. last time I looked the bible said nothing about the "writ of habeas corpus" or right to public trial. it was merely a codified contract stating what the king could or could not do and what were the rights of the people. the bible is never referenced in the MC. the 10 commandments as the basis for our laws is the folly of revisionists.

  • Most of America's laws that provide your protection, came from the Ten Commandments in the Bible....God's Word...You better thank God for His Word, the Bible or this country's structure will fall apart.....that's why most of the court houses have the Ten commandments on them.....

  • @AudioMan62 there are only two commandments that come remotely close to law. don't murder and don't steal. so where are these other invisible laws that supposedly come from the 10 commandments? and most of the court houses do not have the 10 commandments displayed. also, men wrote the bible of varying degrees of intelligence which in my humble opinion makes a lot of it suspect in it's interpretation and accuracy.

  • @Mutedvox Thow shalt not steal and murder are verrrrry important to the stabilization of a society. The other commandments are stabilizing and unifiying factors that contibute to the wellbeing and trust of a society. The dead sea scrolls and other ancient manuscripts all point to the reliability of the Bible we have today. Satan is still using the same tactics that he used in the beginning of time...to get people to doubt God's Word.

  • @4sonsand2dogs the laws that we have today are not based on the 10 commandments nor on the bible. they are based on the Magna Carter 1297. the myth that barton wants you to believe is just that, a myth. our founding fathers used that document to shape the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence. check it out, the non barton truth will set you free.

  • Thank you for NOT calling David BaArton a historian this time. He has no credentials. And his buying up old books gives him NO special route to the truth. In fairness, you should note Barton is considered one of the top 25 influential evangelicals by TIME magazine and paid consultant by the GOP party.

  • Separation of church and state is a myth. The only mention of separation was Jefferson's letter to the Danbury Baptists of Connecticut assuring them that there would be NO wall of separation between church and state. Some states actually had an official state church written in their state constitutions. Connecticut- Baptist; Massachusetts-Protestant; Pennsylvania- Quaker; Utah- Mormon. The Treaty of Tripoli says we are not a theocracy, the Church of England, nor do we reject other religions.

  • that's the david barton version. the letter just says that "the Constitution would prohibit Congress from establishing Congregationalism as the national religion." it goes on to further say that there would be no national religion. you must have read barton's " the myth of separation". he is a denier and an accommodationists.

    Republicans want the republic that we drafted in 1787 which prohibits rule by monarchs or dictators. The federal government can't establish a national religion, but a state is sometimes defined by the state religion. That's part of what makes them different from another state. States must only comply with the 1st amendment.
