  • A very melodious song with Lat's good voice makes me listen to this song over and over again

  • لا نرقص الا على انغام سايونارا

  • I am a Japanese. It's very intersting===Scenery of Tokyo in1966, and how Indian people saw Japan at that time. I was surprised that this heroine wears kimono in very correct manner. I guess Japanese stylists join this film. I can feel their curious eye on Japan, but few wrong describe. Anyway, very interesting. May be we see India in same kind of gaze.

  • Asha Parekh looks very cute in this Japanese attire!!!

  • @Sasukekillsitachi Well said Sasu

  • @Sasukekillsitachi Well said Sasu

  • It sad that Indian try to imitate FILTHY AMERICAN culture (if they even have a culture), I look up to Japan, they live in harmony with technology and yet they retain their culture.

Japan is the perfect example for India.

  • Can someone explain this vid to me?

    ~Jkun~

  • @Jkun Hello , its a song of departure and a promise to meet again. The heroine says Sayonara (japanese for goodbye) and promises to meet again the next day and then to continue to talk and have more fun. And as you see in the video the hero is spellbound by the actress and follows her despite her promise to meet again. Hence the blossoming of a love affair :). Hope this helped

    Tc

  • does anyone know the first tunes are inspired by Persian Market (1920) classicals ?

    v=Q2lANtTxKYw for the video :)

  • sayonara sayonara............

  • WTF?!

  • old is gold

  • LOVELY VDO

  • wich location of india ?

  • @cadburrydream It'snot in India, this clip has been filmed in Tokyo, Japan. The building with the large stone foundation is part of the imperial palace. I'm not sure where park with the large grass lawn is located, but I guess it could be Ueno Park

  • Thanks so much Shamim and Ruby for shaing. I remember this song so well. Yeah it is a beautiful Song. Reminds me of good childhood times. I t hi nk this is Joy Mukerjee with Asha Parekhh. I am enjoying this song.

  • hahahaha... thanx Jaani 4 sharin. i enjoy it. but pls dun say Sayonara to mi... Lovely Song by Lata Jee.

  • watched the film as a teen, still makes an impression. Those were the days !

  • Two of my favorite cultures (Japanese & Indian) blended 2gether N 1 Bollywood song ^_^ Wut cud b betr?

  • A good song Melodious ..Old is gold...TRUE!

  • i was trying to put a sense of hygiene and cleanliness amongst indian people. even though japanese have a very small land area and very small population compared to india, they became an advanced nation. how?with values, determination and hard work,. that was 40 years ago. how about india and indians even after 40 years?i'm sure it is more stinkier than ever.

  • even after 40 years of filmimg this song, i'm sure india does not have beautiful gardens and streets like those in japan which had those days.when can people of india learn cleanliness and keep their surroundings cleaner?hope someday.....

  • @srinivassiddarth 100% agreed, infact India is even dirtier and trashier now than before

  • @srinivassiddarth - you are comparing an almost fully literate first world country to India with a population of over a billion...... - a very unfair comparison.

  • don't say in those days. evennow Indians respect other cultures. well talking about this song, It is fantastic song

  • @deens4344 no it's not a fantastic song!

  • ESTO NO ES HINDU ??? :s:s:s

  • I'm waiting for her to trip

  • it a stryotupe

  • @freiherrudet ur the filthy one u cunt

  • @mrjanu100 "Beep beep beep, strawberry slurpy, have I answered your questions?, curry!" Dirty-skinned bastards.

  • @freiherrudet u son of a dirty bitch. do u know who ur father is. oh i forgot, ur type sleep around with a hundred men and u dont know ur dad. u ugly dirty danish cunt, did u not know that with this hot weather everyone wants to be tanned/brown and will have to be with the coming of global warming. u ugly pasty pinky spotty skinned trash more white people eat curry in uk than anyone else. and currys are tasty. so go and eat ur stale cheese

  • @mrjanu100 You're all over the place, and missed each time. So go throw acid on another girl's face, just because she turned down your curry ass.

  • @freiherrudet

You fucking American, get the hell outta here. Nobody likes you guys. This is an Indian song which was sung in Japan back then in the 1960s. You bunch of jealous scums pathetic race pain in the ass of all living species on earth. Fuck off.

  • @ravspavs The fact is that no one envies India, and every country which evolves, adopts western culture- not the other way around. No one wakes up and says, 'Hey, let's be more like India!'

  • @freiherrudet

Now, let me tell u that this is just a song. There's nothing wrong with this song. It's a normal song so give it a break. If you like the song, then say, you like it, it sounds cool. If you don't like it, don't watch it. I don't know why you have to bring nationality and politics in between. The fact that people adopt Western culture is because English is an international language spoken everywhere. Language and culture go side by side. Learning English is a must in today's world.

  • @ravspavs I completely agree with you, language & culture go side by side and two wouldnt argue about the role of English in this world. It is spoken all over the world including India!!

  • @freiherrudet

So when people learn English, they also end up learning the culture. As I said, language and culture go side by side. Western culture is simplistic and easy to adopt, adapt, and follow. It's not very complicated or complex. The world these days in fast and technology driven. Traditional lifestyle and the pace of the modern world don't really fit nicely. Western culture and lifestyle is quick, simple, and easy and conforms to the needs and expectations of the contemporary world.

  • @ravspavs Bullshit!!! Western culture, eastern culture, There's no culture left!!

  • @freiherrudet

  • I like this song. Can anyone translate what she's saying?

  • Thank you for sharing, very nice movie, from the eyes of Japanese.

Long time not listen this song, I guess it is originally Japanese song, but arranged in Chinese instrumental. I wish I know where this movie had taken, but now I think we can't find this scene.

She is so lovely, but to be faithful for Kimono traditional custom, she should have wear long length-sleeves kimono which shows the lady is unmarried. And she should not run as this, lol.

  • I love this song. Can someone please translate what she's saying. Thanks in advance.

  • I've seen the film Love In Tokyo but it was in a South Indian

language. Was this original remade in other languages?

  • @hirofan This move Love in Tokyo was made in Hindi. May be it was voice dubbed into a south Indian language which you saw. Those days sub-titles were not much in vogue. Indian movies let abroad were big hits. The other big hit was An Evening in Paris (Shammi Kapoor and Sharmila tagore).

  • @alabatross

The film that I saw was not this film.

These were not the actors.. music was different,

etc. It's very difficult to find English information

    on South Indian movies.

  • is this indian or japanese, i can't figure it out

  • India absorbs ALL cultures. This film of 1960s had a story with backdrop as JAPAN. Music directors SHANKER-JAIKISHEN composed this as per story line. Singer is melody QUEEN LATA MANGESHKER and acted on by ASHA PAREKH with JOY Mukherjee.

  • @ChenJunHung indian film with japanese words!! globalization man!!

  • @shivaram2111 I don't know neither of these languages, but I know sayonara means good bye

  • @ChenJunHung

The song is Indian. There is only one Japanese word used which is sayonara which means Good Bye.

  • hahaha LoL

  • One of the best songs of all times (international) .

  • Yeah I have to agree, remember back in the 60s in Malaysia, one of the hits. Even until now my mum still loves it.

  • Comment removed

  • I love this song in Hidi version very much, but the sound a bit low, could you post any one with loud music.

people who make a stupid comment have no class what so ever...i love it...fuck off complainer.

  • @lovesf2004 cause tellin' people to "fuck off" is real classy. just sayin'.

  • Lata ma'am - A queen!

  • One of Asha's best film and a great song by Lata.

  • bauahahhaa what a shit!!! xDDD

  • this seems more indian than japanese x|

  • it is duhhh it s an indian movie

  • Can anyone translate this song for me please? And does she use a few Japanese words?

    Love this song <3

  • the song is in Hindi, filmed in Japan thus using some japanese words.she sings Good bye i will come visit you again tomorrow

  • tien tien toon tonn ..uuunnnn uunnn eeeiinnn aaooonn aooon

  • さよな~ら!!!!

  • I must give full credit to the cinematographers, directors and other support artists who work hard to picturize such a beautiful song in a foreign locale. Of course, actors, musicians and singers are an icing on the cake, but we often forget that we like a particular song because the way it looks on film.

This is a unique feature of our hindi movies.

  • 「左様なら、さよなら」> सयोनारा (अलविदा >アルビダ );

    लव इन टोक्यो / टोक्यो में प्यार

    (1966) > 東京での愛。

  • Asha Ji is so cute and pleasant actress

  • Very good song

  • She's so cute in a kimono :D

  • I like Shane's version better.

  • This is the song that i started hearing from1965 onwardss so absprbed that i am --still hearing -The Music is that

  • not mockinG. she is beinG a japaneese. in those days indian people did not mock others. they were very respectful of other cultures. this a compliment. mocvie was filmed in japan.

  • @seema221 i totally agree with u.unlike the current bollywood movies dat constantly mock other culture.gora this kaala this and african this.in a new akshay kumar movie called housefull they made fun of black ppl n africans.is so disgusting.we can be funny without offensively mocking others.

  • @seema221

her kimono is not wrap or done properly. doesnt fit well. too flabby, suppose to narrower as draped downward, hers is flabby like some dog's ears !

she how Indians dont measure up ! Japanese girsl don't mess up when it comes to kimino !

  • @dharma099 You dont even know anything about kimonos or japan, her kimono is done perfect. Are u even japanese? no.

  • the singer is renowned she lata india's nightinagle

  • @cyberinfiniteplay Ur weeabooness is messed up.

  • i got a rather stupid question.....does rani got anything 2 do wif tis roy?thanx

  • yes. joy is rani and kajol's uncle. see wikipedia for joy mukherjee

  • very beautiful song

  • dude, goodbye means goodbye!!!!!
