  • I don't expect the same level of excitement at graduation when the unemployment level is at Jimmy Carter levels (already there actually). "Hope and Change" can't get you a job nor will you enjoy the bill you'll receive on the stimulus that didn't stimulate or the various other goodies that they're trying to pass now. I'm proud to say I was one of the few UNCG students to not get sucked into this zombie mob and I'm happy to report that many ex-zombies now have buyers remorse.

  • Tate Street. I graduated from UNC-G in the fall of '96, and I have many memories of the place. I worked at Cup-a-Joe (not there anymore), and there was a good record store called "The Record Exchange" (also gone now). Walking down the street at 3 in the morning, high or on shrooms, feeling young, going to meet a girl, living on Mendenhall Street (as well as five or six other places), discovering Dostoevski's genius in the library......Lots of good memories.

  • That night was amazing. I'm somewhere in the far side of that crowd. I loved the little improv speeches given on Tate St. that night! What a fantastic experience!

  • Wow, I wish I could have been there too! So awesome!
