garyzeyan agreed with what have u explain but here in Malaysia ,we also have our own RND and rally team bro.the car and the driver have won the group N Asia Pacific(the car built according to FIA rules also)..but sadly why proton still want to use out side company.The technology is here in Malaysia .Why don't just asked the former pert team to built this car and ask karamjit to drive it at wrc?why UK rally team and why UK RALLY DRIVER drove this car?
the cars are built in the UK because all the suspention,seats,brakes manufactuers just to name a few are all based in the UK,so why spend thousands shiping all of these components to malaysia when you can build the cars in the UK like all the other works teams do,
it would be great if the driver is from the country of origin, but its not always the case. the main point is, you get the best team, with the best driver to win races, or get results that garner attention, and this s2000 satria has achieved that with its recent showing in the WRC.
who won 4 championships for mitsu? a fin.. who won championships for subaru? a scot, a brit, and a norwegian... and did it harm the reputation of those cars that they didnt use local drivers? i think not.

Japanese car maker Subaru doesnt build their own rally cars either, but its built by prodrive. proton designed and built the neo production car, which is used as the base for this super2000 car according to FIA rules.. this is certainly the norm. and btw, where do you think mercedes F1 cars are built? just in case you didnt know, yup. in the UK.
