@Xenon2684 this is late *spoiler* Gordon wasn't the only one that changed. Amanda changed. She only did what she did because Hoffman as blackmailing her for her involvment in Gideon's death. She changed, but she had to kill Lynn or else John would know what she did. And that, to her, was worse than anything; he was like her father. She didn't WANT to kill Lynn, that is perfectly clear in this scene AND flashbacks in the later films. So, if it wasn't for hoffman, she never would have killed Lynn.

Jigsaw gave that guy some kind of numbing agent that paralyzed his whole body so he wouldn't feel pain and he gave Amanda a surgical knife to make an incision so she could get the key.
