When I watched this when it aired the part where Johnathon handed Clark the suit made me tear up a little

I look at this scene as kind of like a Graduation Day for Clark. With everything he's been through, it was like earning his proverbial wings and he wasted no time in using them, either!

I think that it is a brillant way to end the show, although I think they should of just of Tom Welling be Superman in the new movie. Now that would have been awesome. But I guess til this new movie comes out we will have to wait and see.

I for one going through all the seasons of Clark not flying or having the Superman suit at the end of the day was so worth it watching this finale. It was well put together and I am gonna miss this show. All the actors and actresses were awesome, Thank you so much to the cast for all there work

I also got really emotional in the final scene when Clark came around the corner, established as the quirky mild-mannered reporter, and from then on out. It's over, and it was an amazing 10 years. Even though it's over, I'll always hold onto Smallville.

I grew up with this show. I've watched it ever since the first episode premiered. I cannot pick a favorite season or episode, I love them all. I cannot believe it's over. I'm so glad they have given us an amazing Finale for an even more amazing show. It brought out so many emotions I've shut away over the years. This show was always able to show me the light of things, even in my darkest times. I got so teary eyed when they were walking down the aisle and Johnathan was standing next to Martha.

This scene was good, but was a MASSIVE let down we didn't get a good darkseide fight, OR Tom Welling in the suit, AND Lex's ENTIRE memory wiped since the first episode in addition to him really doing nothing in the finale that was useful. So pointless.

@Darkwintre: It was mostly CGI, yeah, of course. I actually don't think he (Tom) ever put the suit on at all. But who cares? It kicked ass. That's all that matters. They pulled it off. It looked BRILLIANT! And the entire finale was SUPERB. Couldn't ask for anything more! ;D

@ninamermaid I researched it and it also has to do with Trademark rights or something like that....Because DC gave pretty much all rights of superman to Zack Snyder for his Upcoming film: Man of Steel..So Smallville had limited rights, which means if they show a full body superman in their show...The creators of the show and CW get sued.

It was the way it was in Superman Returns, he wears it when h's standing(which isn't long)and the flying sequences its CGI. Considering the fact that the suit looks CGI to begin with(even when they are actually wearing it)its still cool. Welling opening his shirt was a great nod to Christopher Reeve.
