All countries are racist. As to violence in Victoria, the gangs are ethnic based. I don't know of a gang claiming to be like white patriots. We have idiots like every other country. We have most of our Aussies made up of children and grandchildren of many races. Currently, the gang wars are bases on ethnicity. ie: Tamils, Sri Lankans, Lebanese, Somalians, Vietnamese, et all. It is sad that the immigrants we have allowed to become Australians cannot control their children.

In Australia, physical attacks on ethnic minorities are considered opportunistic crimes (exact quote as per the Victorian Police).

In other civilized countries, attacking ethnic minorities is considered a grievous criminal offense.

What does that tell you about Australia as a country?

I believe most Australian arent racists, but like in most other countries, there are always a group of ignorant idiots who look down on people with foreign accents and treat them like second class citizens, they re ussualy bogans without any education. Any well educated Aussie arent like that.

I only wish people in the public government agencies to give australian born overseas better positions. Most managers and bossess are anglo saxon aussies.
