Nice Edelbrock Manifold! Mustang Cologne, as in Ford Mustang? hahah. I've got Jaguar™ Cologne, just because I'll buy anything that says Jaguar or Cadillac on it. Have you really got a F100 with a 390 in it? If so, damn!, thats some serious power out of those things!
Yeah it really is mustang lol just used the name from ford lol. I do have an f100 with a downgraded 390 its a 360 but the nice thing is everything besides the crank and rods are interchangable on those motors.
Cool! I didnt know that. I was under the impression the 390 was peformance motor and the 360 was jsut for the regular trucks. Should I ever restore my 62 Fairlane, I'd love to drop a beefed up 390 in there! Only because thats more realistic than getting a 427 and making myself a Thunderbolt!
I would suggest it strongly those fairlanes are getting harder to come by and they are beasts with 390's. My story on my 360 goes is I will be rebuilding it in a couple of months so Im converting to a 390 by just a simple crankshaft and piston rod swap. The 360 was a truck motor but there was more of a truck motor out there with a 361 and 391 ford ft motor.
Yeah theyre beautiful cars I think. To think, it was considered a compact in 1962. Mines a Fairlane 500 2door Sports Coupe' which is quite a desirable car in top trim form. Other than needing restoration, only problem I have with mine is it a 62 with a factory 221, and the 289 came out the next year I beleive. Would've loved to do a little 289 up.
Ha compact I thought the falcon was in that category. I have seen a fairlane 500 2 door around my area beautiful cars. Your right about the early sixtys ford had the 289 and about 65 is when they converted to the fe's. 289's are great motors problem is some performance parts are hard to come by for those motors.
Very cool, Richard! What a difference in weight! And that radio is cool, and you'll never have to buy batteries for it..just use your 19.2v pack. That sure is hand from Sears..they seem to have standardized the voltage for power tools! Enjoy! :) Jack
Thanks jack it will definetly help me when im in the shop detailing my car or just piddling around out there. Yep your right the 19.2 is pretty standard for sears anymore unless the lithium ion phases them out but that wont happen i don't think for a couple of years. Thanks for the comment Jack!
I used to do that ask for books about them then it graudated to tools for my tool box then to right now as my mom calls it the strangest present she has ever given me this lol.
please reply
