  • sua imagem é muito ruim

  • Yeah I would like that too. I built my website from scratch, too. But I've found all sorts of ways to work around it.

  • Comment removed

  • that image thing is called lightbox.

  • all you wanted was easily achievable in dreamweaver.

  • too expensive.

  • It's worth it if you are seriously interested in webmastering. The HTML created by iWeb is THE worst in the industry. Period. Php and flash is FAR superior to HTML. You are extremely boarded in with iWeb. You can't customize the HTML code of the website itself easily, and it's all based off of a proprietary compiler. iWeb should only be used for blogs. That's the only thing its good for.

  • Hi there!

I just wanted to say that you are brilliant!! WOW! I wish that Apple could see your videos and hire you on as an expert. :)

    One question:

When I post comments on my blog, they are locked and do not allow others to post. I have tried publishing all to mobile me but it still will not allow anyone to post comments. Do you know what I am doing wrong?

    Thanks!!

  • lol Dreamweavers just expensive. I'll stick to coda thanks :P

  • i just got adobe cs3, and dreamweaver is GREAT.

  • You did this on ijustines vid as well

  • you can duplicate pages so you can use that instead of templates

  • i know.

  • even tho just get the Dreamweaver just alone or you could illegal download but you would never do it

  • Have you ever used Dreamweaver? It is a great css/html editor. You can do everything you talked about with Dreamweaver. iWeb is very limited.

  • Is Dreamweaver very technical to use?? I would love to learn to use it. Please reply.......

  • It depends on what you want to do. If you want a simple web page, it is very easy. If you are trying something complex, it can get very technical. If you want ease of use, I recommend a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor like squarespace. WYSIWYG editors don't require any knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP or any other coding language.

  • Thanks. Learning html/css is actually something i've always wanted to learn how to do. Thanks anyway.

  • I like the voting things in ur website. But it doesnt show the total no of votes...that would be cool. Anyway u can add another voting among the iMac, macbook, macbook pro, macpro etc. I'm waiting to give my vote to macbook pro..haha..however nice website.

  • Hello big fan of your videos being about your age a love what you do to help people.

I was wondering is iWeb free and do you get free hosting or do you have to pay for it?

  • iweb comes with every mac. it is only compatible with macs. Hosting is not free unless you find a free webhost on the internet somewhere. otherwise mobileme hosting is 99 dollars a year

  • Hey, do u pay to make ur website?

or do u have to have an Apple account?

  • i have a mobileme account

  • you can actually do almost everything you said in this video can be done using html so you might like to look the stuff up as well, I did the same

  • yes and no. it is very complicated. I think these things should be incorporated into iWeb

  • you can do the rollover thing by using a simple html code, easy, just look it up on google.

  • Hey i agree with all of them. iWeb needs those things. You site rocks, how do u add the nav bar @ the top.

  • thanks! I made my navbar in photoshop. if you use an iweb template, the default navigation bar is at the top already

  • IF you get a new mac get Dreamweaver it is pretty easy i have used Dreamweaver MX 2004 For about 3 months then Dreamweaver CS3 FOR about 4 months at school

  • it's sooooooooooo expensive though

  • You could do that rollover thing in Adobe Flash. Just download the demo, make the stuff you need, and you should be done. Just a suggestion!

  • iweb doesn't support flash LOL

i did make rollover buttons in image ready, saved it as html, and put it in iweb but it didn't work. :-(

  • Surely you could make an embeddable item in flash, upload it to your server and then embed that, instead of trying to put the .swf straight into iWeb... This is the sort of thing that annoys me. Then again, iWeb wasn't made for people who want to do that sort of thing, was it...

  • Not going to work. She uses MobileMe for her "hosting". It's beyond the limits of iWeb.

  • Yes, I'm aware that she's stuck in the mud, I was saying that for the benefit of her other viewers. I am pretty sure if she was using something like Go Daddy, she could embed the stuff, because she can embed YouTube videos.

  • Obviously, yes. lol

  • great video with u on all of it but i wish u didnt have to be a .mac member to pulish it i dont like the whole folder process

  • iWeb is too simple. I personally use Sandvox and it works great. However I do wish they would make it more advanced.

  • Personally, I hope that Apple comes out with a professional website building app. Down with Adobe! :D

  • I would love to have all that in iWeb too. How can I make my site bigger I mean the width??????

  • under the inspector go to the page tab and select layout and change the content width. Mine is 850 pixels

  • Hopefully apple will listen because they need to sort out iweb. I think it lets down ilife 08 a little.

  • I agree with pretty much everything you said. It would be awesome if that was in iWeb. Nice Video.

  • first comment.good video :)
