Well, looking at the technology, technically it could be unplugged from the image-generating computer and whatever image that was last up would stay on the screen. I guess if you had enough sheets, you could have a whole newspaper that could be carried around.
Consider reading an entire book on one single page. besides they have upgraded it so that it no longer needs the external battery output. It just paper that can load any image and is pretty much industructable.
those lines you see in the display are imperfections in the transistors which controll the screen, but this is only a prototype, so i expect that in a real model, the imperfections wont be there.
There are a multitude of reasons why flexible screens are superior to rigid screens. Instead of having a measly 2 inch screen video ipod, you could have a flexible screen that unrolls to 3x that size yet still be folded to fit into your pocket.
The weight measurement is unfair because you'd still need all the computing and battery to make the screen useful. Nice comparison on the other items though. One more thing - the LCD is color...
