lol@his optimism and his hope for Afghanistans new found "democracy". I used to feel sorry for all the people living under the Taliban in Afg...now i REALLY feel sorry for the people of Afghanistan. By the time (if ever) Afghanistan takes a sociology class and works out whats going on, they will have already lost its culture and religion...by then, it'll be too late.
I have had the pleasure knowing Mr. Sultanzoy and his successful life in the United States prior to returning to Afghanistan serving not only the people of Afghanistan but as service to free world. Mr. Sultanzoy is an outspoken member of Afghan parliament; however he is not receiving much news coverage as his credentials are threatening to those in power in AFG.
Afghanistan's most corrupt economic mafia is the parliament and the ruling establishment chaired by well paid corrupt people like Daud Sultanzoy himself.
Major economic achievements have been the NGOs and Opium, not to mention the boom in security firms and contractors. Market forces have worked well in Afghanistan, haven't they? You demand it and they will supply it!
Sultanzoy is a good man.
