  • Great Video, well done!

  • do you know where you could meet him?

  • This was a really pleasure to watch, thanks for sharing.

  • very nice chi sau :-)

  • Ip Chun & Ip Ching do Wing Chun differently. Just wondering what would happen if their disciples chi sau?

  • @cloudxtraining ....well, chi sau would happen

  • A good example for double-arm-Chi-Sao (Dan-Chi-Sao)! Master Ip Ching is focussing only on controlling-techniques (like Pak-Sao and Fooksau) and is not trying to hit at all! Thats the main idea of this type of exercising... Both practicioners avoid doing steps or following techniques in the second tempo. Most wingchung-teachers dont tell their pupils to calm down and feel their contact to the ground - oftenly they enforce the free-fight-alike Lat-Sao-exercises too much (which needs to come later)

  • oh good lord, i was on the edge of my seat, ip ching's strike at 3:04 was so close!!

  • There is lots going on, great video !

  • there is many great lineages ..... super wing chun masters ....

but master ip ching is my most favourite wing chun master at the moment

  • Sifu Matt Johnson is a humble and kind person, willing to help, give advice and answer questions of people who show him respect he deserves. He trully is a master of Wing Chun as one should be - humble, respectful and wise.

He helped me once with a great advice.

Cheerz and respect to all Wing Chun schools.

  • I really like the way Ip Ching does Chi Sau, constant changes, controlling and soft.

Question though - when he pushes your bong sau why don't you fold over? (i know easier said than done)

  • @Jebus2Jebus Like you said..easier said than done. He uses the Gum Sau to contron the arm. The pressure is such that you cannot bring the elbow over. Have tried it..and he feeds the other hand under the elbow ans usus Gum Sau to turn me and then he strikes to the side of the face..nothing i can do..

  • @VTSDA

I hate it when people play with you when doing chi Sau....make you think there is an opening, turns out it's a trap :) BTW have you guys seen that WT guy GRANDMATER Sergio??? so that would make him the same level as Ip Ching???? Hmmm i think not.

P.s really like you chi sau...you should post more.

  • Someone sent a message..."Not very exciting" "you guys are not doing very much"...you have to understand..you cannot see whats actually going on here..the controlling of one another, the energy at play...the many attacks that are stopped..it is something you must feel to really understand. It is a constant game of control...then someone makes a mistake.(mostly me) and Bang!!! Doing Chi Sau with Sifu is a humbling experience...you can feel the power and control..Its simply an awesome experience..

  • Just wondering. Are Ip Ching and Ip Chun on bad terms? Why the different organizations?

  • awesome display of sticky hands thanks!

  • Ip Ching is class wing chun at it,s best

  • Ah makes me remember the good old days lol, Hay Matt this remind you of the nights out with the gang? You love doing it but you forget how much you can look like a beginner lol, makes me remember my trip lol.

  • If that doesn't make you want to get back on a planed then nothing will! Well! It's a good show all the way around

  • That's the smoothest chi sao I've ever seen. When GM Ip Ching snapped a punch in 3:05, I was amazed.

  • nice chi sau

  • Absolutely masterful! Fab to watch!

  • this has to be some of the best chi sao ive ever seen..really good conversation goin on here...hahaha sifu really sneaked in that punch and those lap saus though!!

  • his bong sau and tan sau should be better than that if he is a Sifu. Although it is still

    pretty good chi sau.

  • his bong sau and tan sau are not that great, but pretty good regardless.

  • do you know where his school located and fees?

i know its in hong kong

  • @sengoku17 you can contact Sifu Ip Ching at the Ving Tsun Athletic Association, 3 Nullah Rd. Corner of Nullah Rd. and Sai Young Choi St. , Kowloon. Regards. Sifu Matt.

  • Tai ho tai ho! Nice chi-sao play!

  • This is totally awsome, great chi sao Sifu Matt.

  • Man! this is some of the Best Chi Sao I've ever seen! Its clear that you have a great relationship with your Sifu...Good to see..You are one of the Greats Sifu Matt!..You are a LightKeeper of the Original Ip Family system..Keep the Flame Burning!
