The Right Stuff - "Yeager's Triumph". That made me want to become a pilot/astronaut when I saw that as a kid. Bill Conti did a great work.

"The Submarine" from For Your Eyes Only, really took James Bond to the future and established the genre for the 80's and beyond. Bill Conti's futuristic version of the James Bond theme was really suited to the tone of the movie.

Never knew he made "North and South". Kudos to him.

Ah yes, Master's of The Universe. Great score, great sets and costumes, shame it was absolutely nothing like the property. Still, one of my favorite movies as a kid.

@CarbonBasedAndroid It was a really FUN film as long as you didn't expect much. It's was an 80's teen pic of sorts. I had to have a friend DRAG me to it screaming all the way. Once in I was pleasantly surprise and suspended my disbelief for 2 hours. Add to the fact that Bill Conti's score really helped move it along can be said to the POWER of a film score.

Great compliation of a not-to-mentioned Bill Conti. Like the Rocky fanfare at the beginning but that track was only used in Rocky III...I liked the rousing score of Masters/Universe & the pop 80's influence of 007 FYEO.

I don't think Conti did a good job on the action scenes in 'For Your Eyes Only', the style was too removed from John Barry's. Love 'The Right Stuff', but Goldsmith's 'Under Fire' should have won the 1983 Oscar. Conti did a great 1940's style score for Leslie Nielson's spoof of The Fugitive (forget the title). No one could have done a better score for Rocky. Just realised that The Right Stuff theme sounds a little in the style of Basil Poledouris.
