  • Awesome! Friend you are blessed with an extra ordinary innovative brain. Keep it up.

  • Why do all the innovations basically amount to $250,000 hand built engines

  • i hate videos where people put music over what is going on

i want to hear the engine not some dumb shit you think is cool music

  • how could you possibly dislike this

  • @fb2800 Dual ignition?

  • @burnbabey12 very common for aircraft.

  • @gghouck You learn something evryday :D

  • wow that was a pretty sweet engine! 150 hp of air force is crazy

  • thats beautifull

  • Damn it took this guy 2:30 seconds to make a fully working engine

  • This is a great MFG. video. Thank You

  • only 150 hp ? r u shure it aint 400

  • Gotta love watching experts make stuff.

  • I thought for sure the cart was going to fly away once the guy started it up.

  • Nice video :) when can rotec make a 600hp 'corncob' version ??

  • how muck do it cost to make me an engine like that?

  • i just feel like it should make sooo much more power....

  • Great American Ingenuity

  • @Goliaf1 This is actually a pretty old engine technology. The first internal combustion rotary engine was actually French.

  • Nice work

  • Wow, beautiful machine you have there

  • 2:58 - How fast?

  • I like your music here.

  • @antimattercrusader

It's George Benson singing and playing the guitar.....

  • This is art!

  • Questions about the radial:

Is there always a "master rod" that is not articulated to the center hub?

How are these engines lubricated? There is no sump, so is there a remote reservoir for oil?

    Thanks to whomever replies.

  • @modelleg 1. Radial engines have a crankshaft with a single crankpin. 2. The master rod which belongs to #1 cylinder connects to the crankpin. 3. The articulating piston rods (an even number of them) are pinned to the bottom of the master rod, encircling the crankpin. 4. All of the power is transferred to this single crankpin, so it has to be big and sturdy. 5. Lubricating oil is pumped from an oil reservoir, circulated through the engine and oil cooler, then back to the reservoir.

  • The music made the video

  • How did we ever survive without CNC?

  • @AltRage we grinned parts by hand with a bastard file after casting them in sand or plaster via lost wax method which is still viable for some parts

  • @AltRage its called, someone would make one and just not call it a CNC but it would be the same thing!

  • This is Art!

  • I dunno what I just watched, but it was badass as fuck.

  • =.)... I... I... I have no words... gulp.

  • Very nice piece of engineering! Im not too farmiliar with radial engines but just want to know about the lubrication systems on them. Does the oil collect in a sump? Is it lubricated by a pump, splash or mist? Do they get oil starvation when upside down?

  • Awesome job, what grade oil does it run?

  • ♥♥♥♥♥♥

  • I find this easy to masturbate to.

  • -Che bel fresco...

    -What a nice cool...

  • any faster your trailers gonna take off

  • @minibikerider1 it could happen, i saw one youtube vid where a guy was running a radial engine on a small trailer like that and when he gave it a good rev, it started to take off towards the crowd!

  • Very good machine skills!!

  • whats that used for ?????

  • What a great looking machine! Nice work guys.

  • how much is it?

  • 150hp seems low for that many L's of engine. Im guessing from the size it is about 7L. is the design of Radial Engines less efficient to conventional Combustion engines?

  • @jackle3002 You don't know much about aircraft engines then do you. They are large for the horspower they produce because they are all about torque.

  • @superskullmaster It was an observation and then a simple question. You don't know much about the English language do you? But thanks for the insight even if it was presented in the most troglodytical reply.. I hope you had and your cave family had a happy Christmas, grunts and all.

  • I Admire Your life!!!

  • Well, I enjoyed the clip; & who cares about the music..!

And, when's the Rotec- Bentley BR2 Rotary likely to show up ? Pretty Please, the Ultralight Sopwith Snipe just simply WON'T WORK with a Radial... Get onto it, surely ! Meantime, to see NASA riding backseat to a Hillbilly, search 'solar thermal ramjet'; & it's all true ! Search 'sunfoil' for the backstory. The "Short-Talk" clip's the best entrypoint of an interlocking suite of clips. Open Source, enjoy. Ciao !

  • what i would give to work in a place like that.

  • fuck your smart heads :@ :@

  • the song just completed the vid

  • perfect to put in a go kart!

  • Beautiful engine! The music AWFUL ??

  • I love these engines. I want to put one on a air boat.

  • What material are the connecting rods made from?

  • What make/model is that horizontal mill? Looks ancient.

  • now build a motorbike to put it in

  • ohhhhhh, the wonders of engineering :D

  • is it normal to have jizzed at watching one of the best machining montages i have seen?

  • one works splendid +12

  • Love the Vid and the Soundtrack, I like how you preserve old engine designs, I hate how everything needs to be a fucking Hybrid

  • ur amazing man

    gd jb

  • Tremendous.

  • im suprised that thing didn't fly along the grass with the guy still holding it! what a cool engine. seriously tho the music is terrible please change it lol.

  • coś pięknego.Super:)

  • Total beauty.

  • throw an apple in the spinning blades!

  • 22300 $ reallyy coool if i got so much :S :(

  • @dan4ouu

Sounds about right, considering that all of these engines are built to order and not mass produced.

  • One must derive enormous satisfaction making something so useful and also so beautiful!I am most impressed!

  • 1:57 were is the air of this fan going ? Is it cooling or some cind of supercharging?

  • I would have love to seen someone throw dog shit into that while he was behind it

  • GENIUS!

  • so much work and material invested in that thing!

  • what are advantages of radial engines?

  • @77fib77 You don't need a separate cooling system, radiator, hoses, ducting, water,All extra weight. Foward motion will keep it cool and running.

  • Must be cool assembling those monsters :)

  • I would love to operate in the shop!

  • @the4x4yamaha Me to!

  • How much did it all costs?

  • I would so love to be able to construct machines like that. Too bad I don't have the fine motor skills and the concentration to do that stuff... :'(

  • whats the song

  • What a brilliant video! I would like to see a bit more about how the fuel is injected and how the engine is lubricated.

  • Music is pathetic...how about something low key, smooth and background. It's the machine process I'm interested in.

  • i need to get me one of these in my house as a cooling fan

  • stick it on a go cart

  • Oh that thing is beautiful

  • Excellent!

  • that engine is pretty big for only having 150 hp.. it does look really cool tho

  • cool

  • Is that a test prop or an accual flight prop? Seems somthin as light as that trailer would just fly away with the guy hanging on it.

  • Only 150hp from all that? I'm guessing the tq is significantly more, and that's what matters?

  • how do i get a job there

  • Shouldn't that propeller be enclosed by some sort of cage? Safety first, dude.

  • @derranged28 thats only for ppl that dont know what they are doing

  • nice

  • That is a cool video! I can't help but admire the skills that it took to make that engine.

  • Beautiful peice of engineering precision is where its all at!

  • Beautiful!

  • That is so awesome! Imagine somone building a giant scale warbird for that piece of art. I assume it´s not just for show...

  • wow.respect

  • Quite enjoyable to see such a finely machined piece of kit. Thank you for the high quality vid.

  • Beautiful engine! Fire it up after a shower and you'll be dry in a minute : ) 80% x 119 kW = 90 kW to dry your hair and body.

At little resistance it probably can't deliver that much power tho.

Is the air blowing in your face in the vid even warm?

  • Truely a thing of beauty, petrol head heaven! :)

  • How many cubic inches is this engine in the video... how much horsepower/torque to one of these radial engines put out?... Have always been facinated with the radial piston design.. are these electronic or mechanically fuel injected? Did the early gasoline radials use a pushrod actuated fuel injector like cummins/detroit diesels used to?

  • 3.6ltr engine 150hp, Carburetted, This is not a diesel engine, standard spark petrol with pushrod operated OHV , 2 valves per jug.

  • have to be one of the coolest jobs ever no pun

  • Awesome to have in an interactive exhibit!

You've got lots of machines to make this...

Could've made a hydro-sterling para-generator for a whole couldntry with all that kit
