Aloe is great inside and outside the body, hands down. Especially the hair it moisturizes, cleans, heals, you name it. I've heard mentioned that pure Shea butter is awesome too that it's great for the scalp, definitely search it up on that one. :-)

i wash my dreads at the beach. i use the salt water to dry out my dreads just after iv moisturized with a bit of hempseed oil on the tips and midlengths. go for some organic soap, and wash your dreads. just dont get the soap in the ocean, it may be organic, but not necessarily good for the marine life to be drinking. rinse your hair with water then jump in the ocean again.

you can use the black-hair methood or the indian methood like me, salt dry out your tails(rastas) and it will never will be nice and clean dread and many hairs will curl around from it, the methood is just to wash your hair with woter for about six mounths and just let it rasta by it self and the head oils will make it stright and beautiful.
