  • are they singing or auctioning??

  • damm i wanna be a tuna wrangler sooo bad i wouldnt mind makin 10mil

  • Japanese Barrett Jackson.

  • I'm just here for the people auctioning off the fish. Fucking hilarious.

  • THEY FARM SHRIMP ALL OVER THE WORLD START FARMING TUNA AS MUCH MONEY AS THEY BRING IN IT CANT BE THAT HARD

  • I'm Japanese and feel there should be a new law.. ya we've been fishing for thousands of years but alot has changed now we can't keep going on just because of "tradition" I mean if its like kabuki then I'm all up for tradition but there are 127000000 people here now, and we are wiping out our oceans dry. Sushi is becoming popular all over the world there should be a strict limit for fishing period. I also agree with groomboy47 we MUST stop the war the US/UK/Israel are causing millions are dying

  • Donate to put a stop to it?

    Are you joking?

    Im getting my fishing rod!

  • A lot of money for frozen fish cut with a bandsaw.

Surely a fresh one expertly cut is worth a lot more.

  • This fish is really expensive ok so lets drag it across the ground with a hook on a stick.

  • its their culture

  • i think the best music with this will be Wagners "ride of the Valkyries"!

  • Can someone explain the water splashing on the tuna?

  • isnt it funny that japan the country with the biggest gdp depth in the world by miles buys/gets the best/rarest fish in the world...??!!

  • Those tuna look delicious. Where can I catch one?

  • maybe this organisation should do more awareness about sharkfin...

  • At 1:40 he starts yelling Taco....didn't realize it was a Mexican auction

  • *uck it... it's just food.. once swallowed it's destined to toilets

  • I love fish. :D so much healthy protein one can have!

just wondering if the fish is frozen would not it compromise the taste than? i like fresh fish and the part of the world i grow up mostly like fresh water's fresh fish. :D

  • jesus 100,000 a piece o.o

  • Dericious fish

  • its no different do americans who keep printing out fucking money for their own selfish needs. I live in USA since birth and ill tell you this, this country is too fucking poor. atleast other countries try and make a living everyday while people over here dont care and keep spending on shit that no one needs.

  • auction hunter, japanese style?lol

  • Yes we humans are a arogant inorant bunch arnt we.Some might say we are like a parasite infestation.Cull the herd , the human herd.A cataclysm would be the best thing for the planet.

  • the guy ringing the bell looks like a crackhead downsyndrome- not to dis ppl with downsyndrome

  • regardless of what anyone has been doing for thousands of years, times change. The technology used to capture these fish has increased, making extinction a real possibility. The US is relatively good at conservation, and very few countries have the same respect. Nothing deserves to be hunted by humans to extinction.

  • @rememberHAZARD Yeah, the US is relatively good at conservation. I wish you guys actually cared about people's lives though, like thousands of innocent people in Iraq you guys killed becasue Iraq supposedly had weapons of mass destruction that you never found.

  • @sbo1111 look back to the first gulf war. Suddam used WMD on the northern Iraqi tribes. too bad you weren't one of them at that time. so sad. T_T *tear ...

  • @beefoogee So, Bush said they have WMD in 2002 and they didn't. Nice job killing thousands of innocent people. Too bad you are still alive and they are dead. T_T

  • @sbo1111 yes they had wmd materials ... just not assembled. too bad they didn't use it on you and your family. T_T

  • @beefoogee Materials ? Who gives a fuck about materials ? Bush said they have WMD, not WMD materials, owned

  • ROFL

  • I felt like i was watching a moviee

  • Oh fuck off with the spooky music trying to make this look like some sort of satanic ritual.

  • well we should kill them to near extinction than maybe those damn retard people would know what it would mean lol

  • Aaaaahahhahaha! I did NOT Expect that com in at All! NEW AUCTION SHOW PLEASE!!!

  • I love food too much to say ban this and ban that. But fishing a specie to extinction is a little mess up. Some kinda of fishing law needs to be implemented.

  • they all look so japanese :\

  • to stop this kind of practice! kill all japanese who eat maguro sushi! blue fin tuna!

  • This is the same people that catch thousands of sharks a day, lop off the fins, and throw the bodies back in the drink. Im boycotting every restrant in Louisiana that serves shark fin soup or bluefin tuna. I just signed the Bluefin Boycott; I encourage you all to do the same

  • @CajunYak Wrong, that's what Chinese people do. The ones in the video are Japanese. Do some reserach before you make an uneducated post.

  • @sbo1111 My fault, I appologise. However, Im still boycotting restrants that serve bluefin and shark fin soup

  • they make me sick!

  • Fuckin' Japs, not a care for anything but themselves..

  • @Laromanecc Shut the fuck up idiot. They have been doing for centuries. If they are endangered, it's because of environmental changes, not because of over fishing, dipshit

  • @sbo1111 Wow you're a fucking dumb ass and most likely Japanese. It has been proven that over fishing is the cause of tuna becoming endangered. Every year the size of tuna caught is on average smaller than the last years catch. Over fishing is not giving the tuna a chance to breed. And you said "they have been doing it for centuries". Well yeah there's your damn reason for their low numbers. Get you facts straight before you make a fool of yourself you fucking moron.

  • @Laromanecc No, you can't prove that kind of stuff, this is not a math problem. Show me a proof if you still insist.

  • @sbo1111 A quick google search will give you the proof Cajunyak is talking about.

  • @sbo1111 "They have been doing for centuries."

Yes, but not as intense as in the recent century. In the past it was for survival, not it's greed. Back then they didn't have the tools to catch a huge amount of fish. They're not giving the fish time to breed, so most of the big fish in the ocean are endangered.

  • so would you let it go? and before any closed minded vegans answer with the usual comment of DEATH TO ALL HUMANS LONG LIVE ANIMALS, really think about it.

  • picture this, you are a poor fisherman who just tries to get. you have nothing fancy nor do you care for it, you just want to feed your family and make sure your kids have a better future. one day while fishing for your usual dinner and market fish you pull up a 200lb blue fin. its not extraordinarily huge and you know its endangered, but by selling this fish instead of letting it go you can guarentee that your family will eat for a year, even during times when fishing is hard and dangerous...

  • @alison1001 Alison if you read this I'm sorry okay? You are a very pretty girl and I was just trying to get your attention. We should trade emails and cyber sometimes I really want to creep you out over webcam and have you watch me play with my tiny pecker.

  • @flamingdogg wow you made her close her account, win.

  • @noyzizi one of my more successful troll attempts

  • @alison1001 why are you so mad what did I even do? wtf lol?

  • i hope they go extinct fast so japan has nothing. same with dolphins, killer whales, etc. these evil people who kill these deserve to have no big fish to use anymore. end the insanity now.

how dare you worthless people take endangered fish for your personal gain! pathetic!

  • Those fishes look so yummy ^_^ yum yum cant wait till I eat all of them :) :) :)

  • ประมูลได้ใจมากๆ

  • IMPOSSSIIIBRUUU!!!!

  • whats the difference between yellowfin and bluefun tuna? cause I always eat yellowfin tuna and their really cheap here.

  • auction? thought it was an excorcist!

  • @Alexgt20 Me too.. it was scary:(

  • @sweetchunks22 hapla hapla blah blah tuna blah blah power of christ tuna blah blah!!! xD

  • @Alexgt20 lollll but yeahhh this was a creepy sick video I think. And the music made it worse:/

  • this guy in glassess will explode

  • No more bluefin in just 10years.

  • There are fishery's now of bluefin but 1000 lb tuna are rare hopefully one day 1000 pounders will be common

  • this is a very intense auction.

  • @tangjkd TACO!TACO!TACO!TACO!TACOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

  • i bet the fishing in japan is great

  • Survival of the fittest.

  • Mercury Poison!! that fish is to be discarded as toxic waste!!

  • Im not gonna lie, the guy using the band saw to cut fish apart actually looks like fun

  • janitor fish sashimi instead the endangered blue fin.

  • Tuna are endangered. We should be eating minke whales instead.

  • look guys you don't have to be a long haired flower lover to make an effort of saving the ecosystem..human can't destroy the planet! but he can easily destroy the whole ecosystem! stop arguing about fucking hippies and reply the classic:"i dont give a shit i like ma burger" cause the only thing you achieve is to make you look as brain washed ASSHOLES! sorry for my poor english.

  • wat happenz wen the tuna run out u fukaz gona destroy the whales

  • @TheZaneah i think the japan assholes are eating whales too

  • @holybun Whalemeat is good but only really the younger ones. Juvenile Beluga being prime. Older ones are O.K. with proper cooking techniques. Blubber is still very profitable.

  • this is like the boys club

  • Another colorful yet hollow statement. Why the need to belong to a cause even if it is non existent?

I have now decided to campaign for the well being of the grass trampled on daily. Lets band together and shed a tear!

  • 100k a fish god damn and i thought doctors made alotta money.

  • Comment removed

  • many of the western countries are complying with regulations and narrow minded people making these sort of short clips is what makes the seafood industry look bad you never show how how fisherman have work together fisheries organization to and scientists to better the the the harvesting techniques for a better future.

  • i didnt know mike singletary spoke japanese?

  • best part 1:31 lol

  • To hell with you, Greenpeace, and all you post-modern hippie scum who produce nothing and just muck up the gears of things your degenerate peasant brains can little understand.

You did nothing to make the world a better place. Nor any of your self-righteous pals. You're parasites.

  • it is easy to fight for those that do not speak. it make's you feel that you have done something. yet with all the animal deaths you still can't decided on the color of shiiiit.

  • @PhillipPark90 how many species have gone exotics because of greedy conservatives?

  • anyone who says they're over fished and are on the brink of extinction is kidding themselves!! there are litterally TENS if not HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of fish spawned every year. just because we don't see them, doesn't mean they're not there! look at any fish farm, tehse things produced 20,000-40,000 eggs at a time. at a survival rate of even 20%, the numbers aren't too bad at all!

  • not enough cow bell

  • if you want to help on tuna cruel overfishing PLEASE sign in greenpeace's signature gathering! it just takes 30 sec. of your time to save millions of tunas!..

just visit any tuna video of greenpeace and hit the link in the description..

THUMBS UP SO OTHERS CAN SEE!

  • no meaning if its frozen

  • Tuna tastes awesome. Not that I would say no to banning its fishing if it is to disappear

  • 1:55 HAHAHAHAHAH!@!!@$!@#$

2:02 hahahahah looks like hes saying cock cock cock

  • 1:55 HAHAHAHAHAH!@!!@$!@#$

  • In America, the attitude of eating blue fin tuna is like wearing a fur coat. LET US SAVE THE BLUE FIN TUNA BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!

  • This generation is tuna and caviar, all fish…. Next generation might be bird and eggs all wings. I wonder if they can eat eagle how much would that go for?... from down below and up above…. Yaaahhh……….

  • If there ever is some kind of ban...fine. However, until there is I will continue to eat bluefin tuna, especially sushi. If they are being fished and consumed why should I let others enjoy this fine meat? As for the idiots who blame the Japanese, Japan is not the only ones who consume bluefin tuna. Even though Japan does consume most of the tuna it is the rest of the world's recent infatuation with sushi that has really accelerated the tuna's diminishing numbers.

  • @EchigoDragon if everyone was thinking like you the tunas would have dissapear

  • @EchigoDragon For the idiots who NOT blame the Japanese

What you say does not make Japanese not guity on overfishing tuna. Everyone know if a fisherman catch a big tuna, he will immediately send that tuna to Japan. The high demand on tuna lead to extreme high price on tuna meat. Japanese fishing company become too greedy. They don't care tuna stocks in the ocean as long as they keep getting a big chunk of money. Because of the Japanese demand, they are the one who responsible for the damage.

  • @EchigoDragon So let the Japanese eat them till they are extinct? Good idea, so we can blame your dumb asses for bringing them to extinction.

  • @EchigoDragon your the idiot, japan/ asia areas overfish the tuna to near extinction. your right it don't matter who eats it but, they illegally kill an unsustainable amount of fish.

  • @134jmann BLUEFIN TUNA FISHING WILL NEVER STOP FACE IT

these fish are caught as juvenilles and fed until auctionable in a sustainable fashion

its big netting of skipjack and stripped tuna that really needs to stop

net fishing should be stoped for atleast 5 years and pole caught/farmed should be the only thing on our plates

  • @134jmann maybe ILLEGAL in YOUR country, however the japanese have been FISHING FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS! NOBODY HAS THE FUCKING RIGHT TO TELL A COUNTRY WHAT TO DO. MUCH LESS CHAGE SOMETHING THEYVE BEEN DOING THOUSANDS OF YEARS

  • @Spocktavian That doesn't mean it isn't immoral to fish a specie to extinction.

  • @Spocktavian I hope China nuke Japan out of the map for all the evil things they did to other countries

  • @Spocktavian I cant wait in 10 years when all the fish stocks are depleated..... ull look like a total dumbass

  • @Spocktavian True, though if it means to destruction and collapse of an entire species, which will have a domino effect you have an obligation to bring it up

  • @Spocktavian I disagree. When something is 'traditional' but puts extreme strain on near extinct species (not in this particular taste) they should be stopped.

  • @Spocktavian Damn right. No one tells me that I can't tell my slaves not to kill hundreds of dolphins while I fuck catamites in togas. TRADITIONS ARE SACRED.

  • @Spocktavian I agree, but please tell that to the americans and israelis who dont mind ass fucking anyone they want..

  • @Spocktavian Well if there would be as much Japanese people as 200- 300 years back than there would't be a threat to blue fin tuna.....It just sucks people will always be greedy in every nation.

  • @Spocktavian you're a stupid ignorant moron. just because they've been doing it for thousands of years doesn't make it okay to keep doing it when they will be extinct soon. get an education worthless fool

  • @415is808 you like the cock, you titty tosssing faggot.

  • @Spocktavian YEA in there country it fine, they shouldn't go into other country's water and steal their fish.

  • @yeahwaffle yeah because fish can understand what a border is? get the fuck out of here guy.

  • @yeahwaffle fish ociand and other NATURAL food any country produces in the wild shouldt be anyones property.

there should be laws that protect the world even if the people of a country have that type of food as a natural dusk.

people can ajust and eat something else nature cant just change 100.000 years of evolution in a year to save species and with it this planet.

  • @Spocktavian i frankly do not care if they have bin doing it forever this world isnt there property and fish specialt big fish migrate the world therefore they should work together to save the planets species otherwise protecting 95% of the globe is pointless if they wipe a species out in there ''own waters''

nothing in this world is anyones property we are the top species on the food chain this brings responsibility and we are certainly not the most intelligent life form (most of us atleast).

  • @Spocktavian people should be responsible and the japanese are NOT acting responsible they just have a sick greed for s specific food even if it wipes the species out and they can have none at all for the rest of there lives.

they are blinded by there greed for tune (and whale) rendering them unable to see that if they wipe them out (as they are doing within 10 years like this) they will never eat tuna again EVER.

  • @hutjeflut ok they have been fishing for a long long long time, the fish DIDNT disappear 100 years ago or 200 years ago, perhaps the fish are doing just fine. the earth is in fact 3/4 water, and i highly doubt the over privliged rich kid fuck who impregnated that idea in your head that telling a country how to live actualy went in the fucking water and counted one by one the # of tuna in the fucking ocean. the fish are not going anywhere.

  • @Spocktavian they used to be fishing in smaal boatts and use them locally only in the town they diod catch it wich is fine now they use maffive ships and transport them all over the country and word there is a big difference in how they fished 100uears ago and how they fish now...your quite uneducated on the subject also fish spawn nd eat at certain places there you can measure numbers also big groups can be stotted from planes you have no clue how much money goes into research....

  • @Spocktavian any noone put anything in my head unlike you and some entire japan i do care about this planet and rather preserve this planet then preserve the jappanese eating habbit.

go and grow veggies and farm cows and pigs or something untill therte is enough tuna again and then hunt with a strict limit...

you cant kill something faster then it can reproduce it WILL wipe out.

  • @hutjeflut FISH FUCKER

  • @Spocktavian go look up tuna auction on google immages and those immages you will see that happens day in day out on hundreds of places in the world your completely ignorant if you think that is sustainable.

this is however not limited to salmon swordfish salmon sharks whales lobster crabs and hundreds of other species suffer from the same problem so this isnt a 1man action against japan.

if we would kill humans in that pace we would be wiped out in a 100 years also.

  • @hutjeflut YOU MAD.

  • @Spocktavian wow your mature and intelligent :) sorry that facing dacts was to hard for your brain and i most likely fried it by asking you to think for a second :)

    have a nice lonely life.

  • @Spocktavian

When their fish stocks run dry, should they be allowed to fish in waters of other countries? They are already killing whales off the south coast of Australia.

  • @Spocktavian just because they've been doing it for thousands of years doesn't mean it's right. They have been doing it for thousands of years because there are many tunas in the sea during that time but now its running scarce. There are many Non Profit Global Organizations and their jobs are effect decision makings in other countries.

Because you are swearing and writing in capitals, doesn't mean you are making any logical sense.

  • @CWCWwang only hardcore furries give a real shit about this kinda crap, get some pussy dude, dont be one.

  • @Spocktavian but they are eating all our tuna! They cant help themselves they are fish mad! but i would like some tuna too

  • @Spocktavian tell that to north korea

  • @Spocktavian I agree. Female Genital Mutilation, Slavery, Dictatorships, Stoning Adulterers, Subjugating the poor, and countless other centuries old traditions enrich this world with their diverse "traditions" ?It is their right to fish the creatures of this earth into extinction.

  • @horsebackbob forgot to throw in "people running their FUCKING MOUTH AND ENDING UP WITH THEIR THROAT CUT."

  • @Spocktavian My name is Spocktavian and in lieu of a valid argument I resort to making baseless threats that I am incapable of following through with. Either you are a troll, or have the reasoning abilities of a prepubescent school boy. Grow up bud, this is a message board... find some other way to compensate for your shortcomings.

  • @Spocktavian Earth doesn't belong to one country, if bluefish will disappear like Tasmanian Tiger then I'd rather my country go to war over it.

  • @kostaad thats why faggots will never get elected.

  • @134jmann With the population boom, nothing is sustainable. We fortunate ones are lucky enough to worry about sustaining a food source, millions others in 3rd world countries don't even have enough food to stay alive. Pinpointing a certain country for blame? Don't forget some of these fish do get shipped overseas for other purposes. At least they are fishing them in their own territory, unlike some other countries buying and importing from others as if they didn't do anything wrong.

  • @134jmann How is it illegal ? Who sets a law regarding how many tuna fish they can catch ? You can't set an amount of certain fish other countries can catch

  • ask the idiots at that fish market "have you seen a decline in the size of bluefin" and they even know the answer is YES. THey hadn't had a 1,000 pound fish in that place in 20 years. That should tell you something.

  • fucking japanese bastards!!!!!!

  • i think the auctioneer is stoned....

  • @hugobossdb My point is simply that broad societal change occurs in steps, and that those steps often require a polar, sometimes radical group jumping up and down screaming to get people's attention (so to speak).

Think what you want, but the whole conservation movement (which almost every country acknowledges now, in some fashion) stemmed from the same type of "snarky hippy" action.

  • @hugobossdb @OceanFuturesSociety Really? So when they abolished slavery in the States, did you think it went from everyone sitting around drinking tea to a massive civil war?

Did a bunch of men just wake up one day and think, "fuck it, let's let women vote."

Did India spontaneously decide it did not want to under British rule?

    Etc. etc. etc.

    Change is incremental.

  • What the hell were those Japs shouting and yelling about?

  • How are these tuna caught, is it illegal to use nets for the more endangered species? In my opinion i have no problem if they are caught with conventional line and reel, one fish can be enought for a salary of one man for a year.

  • don't hunt whales and sharks!!!!! Tuna still okay

  • Wow. At this point I'm pretty sure Japan deserved that tsunami. Haters gonna hate, but fuck, they're destroying the ocean. About time the ocean struck back.

  • Looks delicious

  • dumb assessss....

  • WTF MATE

  • I like bluefin tuna. The taste is unlike any other. What if the bluefin tuna goes extinct? No one would be able to experience its taste. Not us, not our children. We should be ashamed at how we treat our oceans.

  • blue fins are not fucking endangered.

  • @gibigbig No, you're right. They are CRITICALLY ENDANGERED. Check the ICUN Red List.

  • @AurorusTech Well, the Atlantic species is, the Pacific is currently listed as vulnerable- one step from endangered.

  • That's the perk of being at the top of the foodchain....money talks!

  • @PhillipPark90 Your an idiot, no one is saying that the blue fin tuna is more important than the problems going on in Africa, the difference is, solving the blue fin tuna problem is a lot more easier and less expensive than solving Africa's problem. Basically to solve the blue fin tuna problem all we have to do is stop fishing for them and let them take a breather for like 40 years and then the fishing can start again, but no people like to have sushi

  • @PhillipPark90 Do you have any idea how expensive blue fin tuna is now that their near extinction? Also, you don't seem to get it do you? Basically if it's just left at how it is, the bluefin tuna will go extinct which means no more of that expensive blue fin tuna sushi that people love, the course your stating for humanity to go down is to just say fuck it and let all of the species go extinct. Which will lead to a food shortage and war over the remaining food.

  • @PhillipPark90 You my friend are spewing out a ton of bullshit. The fact of the matter is the bluefin tuna like the video title states is a luxary food. Their is a ton of other fish that are not critically endangered like the yellowfin tuna but the fact of the matter is, since people like how it tastes their gonna fish it to extinction. You want statistics fine the bluefin tuna in the eastern atlantic has decrased by 72% and has decreased by 82% in the western atlantic in the last 40 years.

  • @PhillipPark90

Your negative comments waste a precious opportunity to make the world a better place. What do you, Phillip Park the 20 year old do to make this world a better place?

  • @OceanFuturesSociety you owned him!!!!!!!

  • @rayny51

We didn't inherit the Earth from our ancestors - we're borrowing it from our children. Conservation aims to protect this planet so that future generations will hopefully enjoy the same quality of life that we have or better. Unless blue fin tuna are protected immediately, we will need to explain to future generations that we stood by and watched them disappear.

  • @PhillipPark90

How often it is that the angry man rages denial of what his inner self is telling him.
