Love the Super Mario Bros. 3 running animation., but I'm not of a fan of reused sprites in fangames, they usually never mesh well with some original designs, such as Samus herself, she doesn't fit at all with the more realistic look of the areas.
Regardless of it being chibi style, it's still really badass. It kind of gives it a new vibe, too. I also like how when Samus is running super fast, her arms fall behind her, like Mario's do in Super Mario 3/Super Mario World. A nice touch.
This is great. But honestly, this has great potential with all of these amazing features and graphics. But it would have better potential, if you were not chibi. Like it could be seriously epic. But it does look good, and I'm curious.
