@Stupify8 The radio ending is to show how people are. Humans have a natural fear of the unknown, aliens, ghosts, etc. Day and night are opposites therefore they never knew each other. They were unknown to each other. The entire video is day and night showing each other how beautiful they are. The radio voice is saying how people prejudice the unknown with fear and such. The last sentence tells us how beautiful the unknown can be, in other words, how futile showing fear can be. It is beautiful.

Why on EARTH aren't 3d Blurays being released normally? I'm a 3d fanatic, I've had computer based 3d setups for years and I really want to buy a 3d tv, but WHY when all the content is dribbled out. Why the hell isn't there a giant stand of 3d movies sitting right next to the 3dtvs in shops? If you're forking out thousands for the tv, right then is the time to sell the content. If I'm not going to buy a 3dtv who would? Just damn well release your 3d content at the same time as 2d and it'll sell!!

@gmcubed No, it didn't. Some people are idiots and need to hear this message. That's reality. Some need it spelled out for them. This short is phenomenal. Pixar's best to date. Fantastic in every aspect.

@ItEnds2Nite It Was phenomenal the way they this short was put together is ground breaking. I just prefer more subtlety and wish it could have ended without the need of the radio message. Animation is at its best when its able to communicate concepts without words, and that's what the best Pixar shorts are able to do. Their not usually one to aim toward the lowest common denominator by tagging the end with a PSA of sorts.
