@apocalypticafied I'm sorry that you feel that you've been traumatized by the loss of the ice cream truck, but I grew up in an area so rural there was NEVER an ice cream truck. I will admit though, that when I was a kid and we would visit my Aunt in a much larger city where the ice cream truck came by once a day, I would get excited and ask for ice cream money. Now, as an adult, it's just loud and annoying.

Sorry, I guess I was a little vague. When I say "messed up" I mean their kids are out of control, they have too many dogs/cats/birds, they have too many cars and they park them all over the place (like right in front of your house), etc. They're just generally obnoxious and in my humble opinion they're worse than the ice cream truck. Good neighbors are a blessing.

Oh! I see what you mean. I have been an apartment dweller most of my adult life, I'm a long termer and most of my neighbors seem to be transient. Very few of them stay for more than 1 or 2 lease cycles. Of course some have been worse than others but I generally do not go out of my way to meet and/or chat with the neighbors, in most cases.

and my god aren't the tunes so annoying! In the USA, the jingle changes every tine is up. In the UK, its just the same jingle over and over again. It drives you nuts.
