  • Really did a good job showing this escalator

    thanks for sharing

  • i have Video of the Entire trip, Up to 10.

  • Epic Cool!

  • Oh, I didnt know about that, I always thought that these were fire hazards.

  • @JonElevator I'm not certain if the one with the fire had metal steps (like the ones in this video) or wooden ones. Maybe I'll have to go over there and find out!

  • Yes, I was wondering the same thing.

  • @JonElevator There are (at least) 4 sets of escalators: 2 on the street sides and 2 on the avenue sides. When I have a chance I'll go in there and see if I can find out which escalator had the fire.

  • @Colortiniz Did you shhot this? Maybe you can go check it out!

  • The set that was video taped has metal steps with wood sides; they have escalators on the selling floor that are actually all wood (including steps). The set that you were on is all wood from floors 8-9.

  • Im suprised that they done have wooden steps. I have seen escalators in London that were metal on the sides but had wooden steps.

  • Well the reason for the metal sided is because the wood baulstirdes sometimes dont last.

  • Nice. Hope they're not replaced with new escalators.

  • I hope they stay also.

  • Big bank of escalators.

  • Yes, no duh thos is the flagship Macys store. There are 10 flights of escalators. These are also very beautiful antique escalators.
