He didn't suck, but he did seen a little depleted of energy. Maybe he just had a sore throat, maybe a B12 deficiency. He certainly had most of his whits about him, but yeah....
Ron Paul did suck in the Florida debate. It was his worst one. But look what he had to work with. It was a crowd that got so used to being looked down on that they wanted the candidates to kiss their ass. And he wouldn't. He plainly said that in the upcoming century Hispanics should expect to play a role no different from the other Americans. The other candidates conceded to kissing ass and their were better liked for it. Oh, well.
You are probably the most honest, down to earth RP supporter I have ever heard on Youtube. I usually get spammed to death with all kinds of fanatical RP SS agents who spout incoherent, conspiracy babel. To me, RP is the wrong messenger of his political movement. He focuses on things that don't matter to the average Joe. Sound or not. Hardly anyone knows what the Fed reserve is, nor do the care to elect people who would change it.
If he would use the pulpit to articulate why isolationism was good without finger wagging he would attract more voters. Also, in Cal his radio adds consentrated on why he was so cool. It was a bit much. He should focus on what the message is. He should spend more time explaining WHY personal responsibility is important. He should not try to get voters on canning the CIA or FBI, because this is inside baseball and smacks of instability. And then there are things of him I could NEVER support.
There is no practical difference between isolationism and non-interventionalism. They mean the same thing. That is to say achedemicly they are different but not in real life. Both ignore brewing crisis until only a world war can remedy the problem. "The only thing needed for tyrany to prevail is for good men to do nothing." When the US turns it's back on the world a power vacuum will ensue in which the most aggressive elements of mankind will fill the gap. Thanks for the dialogue ;-)
I'm not saying only the US has the power to preserve civilization from the 21st century goths. I'm saying right now that the US is the only nation with the moral clarity and resolve to defend stability. We have bases all around the world, yes? If we axe them we have no effective reach against a worst case nuclear crisis in the most worrysome places. This could effect you directly. If Europe made people work for a living and provide for their own defense things would be better, agreed.
As much as I hate to admit it... your right. However this might be the beginning of the end for his presidential campaign, but its never too late to educate. People are slowly waking up and will continue to do so. The house of cards will fall and we will be ready.
We've gotten exactly as far as the point where online support had to become offline. Some combination of Dr. Paul, his campaign leaders, and his supporters didn't translate well to the world of 24-hr news media infotainment and sound bites.
It was a perfect storm I guess. But even as a pessimist, it was a huge victory considering how far he went despite all the simple mistakes that could have been avoided or fixed.
I wouldn't say McCain is the best speaker either (in fact, he sounds like a retarded child), but you forget we didn't have the establishment on our side and they luxury of moral corruption
I agree, I noticed that he was dull that night. Rudy dropped out, so now the mainstream media will be forced to give him attention. I think we will probably know within a month or less whats going to happen with Ron Paul.
He did much better in this last CNN debate. Of course, he was alotted fair time to speak. I forgot who said this, but whoever it was said most of the time Ron Paul sounds like a nut idiot even when he gets fair time to speak at debates because what he's always trying to get across requires much longer than 60 seconds. But which is plenty enough time for the rest to 'campaign'. it sure isn't an 'ideas' platform. I fucking hate debates.
had a few good moments. nothing to jerk off to, but he was a little more feisty and engaging. i'd like for him to really spell out the unfairness and disadvantages the hosts are putting on him. he does politely. i can't stand that.
I hate to say it, but I think you are right about the debate. I don't think it is the beginning of the end. Maybe the end of running as a Republican, but not the end of running for President.
Ron Paul's message that night I think was consistency. He's saying the same stuff he's been saying, because that's the message that is right and powerful. It may have seemed redundant because you've heard it a hundred times. And January is the month after Christmas. People can't afford to give a money bomb right now.
I very much agree that RP wasn't on top of his game that night. He's been faced with media interference and mass manipulation and the effects of double-think planted deeply in the American subconscious. I'd be a bit down too. I'm with the 911 truth movement and the CFR movement and occassionally a bowel movement. The only lasting impact is a violent one, and I suggest you guys get ready for it.
considering after the poll when people texted in who won the debate with Ron Paul second at 40 percent. Yeah..i guess your alone saying he sucked. Could he have said more? sure..but still second doesnt mean he sucked...last i checked second place is pretty good considering only 1 percent behind number 1.
thanks for speaking up. if dr. paul listened to his supporters instead of some political lackeys his campaign would be back on track. blindly following someone regardless of their actions will only get you martial law. in contrast to everybody else i don't think giving constructive criticism to someone is betrayal.
never said you sucked..i dont care. But for you to say the poll was all done by Paulites isnt really fair because Mitt Romney was the one who won? I mean its purely speculation. I dont care if you suck or not.
I believe there's a consistent trend of various polls being spammed by Paulites. I think the actual vote counts support that belief. If the good doctor surprises everyone and wins some states by large margins, I'll be wrong.
What I think we're really seeing with the polls is a mixture of two distributions. One represents the distribution of opinions in the general viewing public. The other represents the opinions of Paulites, who almost exclusively say Dr. Paul won the debates. That's why you get both Paul and Romney rating highly in polls, for instance. The first distribution favored Romney, and the second Paul. It's like rolling two die; one fair and the other is biased to only show one value.
I don't mind negative comments, especially since I provoked them. I do mind, however, that this video got over 1000 views and nearly 150 comments, but my video stating why I support Ron Paul has only been viewed 71 times and commented on twice. Talk about "fair and balanced"...
I would hope that Dr. Paul goes back and looks at himself in the debates. Also, it wouldn't hurt to look at the other candidates.
He has a solid 10% support of the public but he has to sell himself to the rest. I remember when Ronald Reagan ran for president he would practice for the debates against Carter. I know we don't need a polished man in the White House but it might take one to get in.
He didnt do well because of the depth of the questions they asked him! Give him a break, He's won EVERY SINGLE debate in the past 2 years! Everyone has a bad day. Why dont you give him some tips since youre such a pro huh!
2.This is a tough race. ALL the candidates (even Obama) have been exhausted. There will be ups and downs. This may be just the START of an independent run. YOU need to keep your spirits up . . . not only on the good days, but especially on the not so good days.
1.The latest $ bomb brought in a ton of $. You are painting it EXACTLY the way many RP supporters predicted opponents would spin it - "less than the first 2 bombs" . . . (It's still pretty damn good in a recession just after Christmas!)
bug off, go vote for obama. I will vote for someone worth a damn... its about the message , not ron paul. even if i have to write ron pauls name on the voting machine to do it.
There's a difference between slick and polished. There's nothing inherently wrong with making a good impression. In this case, for most Floridians, it was a first impression.
If they waited till now to know who's running, they are retards anyway. He probably wouldn't have got them anyway. The idiots want handouts and war, they are scared, Paul doesn't speak to them anyway.
"I do think he MUST be weary of it all. Just look at the speech he did AFTER that Florida debate. Did you see it? It was FANTASTIC. So, it's not the lack of energy, or age..."
I agree. I just watched those videos and he was very pumped up. It not only takes courage but inner strength to stand up, time and time again against opposition and criticized like he has, he takes his energy from our support. Vi
funky dung, for one bad name for another what a waste of a video. I'm not a cheerleader for ron and no one els is we strongly believe the entire system needs to change. the only problem now is that rp is too nice to play their game. he courageously answers all the major questions with one main thing we have too much overseas spending to properly fix anything in our own country.which is the sad fact. post a video about that instead.
Can anyone find a McCain, Huckabee, Romney, or Giuliani so called supporter posting a video like this. NO, of course not. I guess we'll see if this guy is a fake supporter or just a supporter who has practically thrown in the towel. Since he answered back, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I too thought Ron Paul looked tired but I would have chosen to use my time wisely to support him by posting a positive video post.
I guess I'm just tired of the non-stop cheerleading. If this is really about the issues, then we should be willing to be critical of Dr. Paul from time to time. He's not God.
I said it is o.k. to be critical. The Revolution isn't about ONE MAN. Ron Paul will take this to the end. If you merely stated that you thought he didn't do well in debate then I myself wouldn't counter you. But YOU DID SAY that this is the END and that YOU're RIGHT. That's why you're getting many negative responses. I thought it wasn't his best debate but I don't see it as the Beginning of the End. You're calling the game when we're still in the 1st Quarter of the Game.
The horse race analogy that the media use is more apt. They've gone around the track a few times, and some of the horses have fallen down. Right now, Paul and Ghouliani are both in the back of the pack. Ghouliani's gonna sprint for the lead, but he'll never make it. His horse will run out of energy and fall back, probably out of the race. Paul will still be there, his horse having the endurance to go a long way. Can he ever get into the pack of leaders, though?
You said, "I'm afraid we could be seeing the beginning of the end. It's been a fun ride." "I'm calling it, this is the beginning of the end." I think it's o.k. to criticize Ron Paul but why did you chose to make your first video speaking against Ron Paul. Why not a Pro-Ron Paul video or a video against the others. If a candidate said,"I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!" The media would jump on it and treat him as a madman.
While I wish I could coach RP on some presentation skills, he HAS LISTENED to me in NOT spewing out the words "LIBERTY, or PROSPERITY". I told him to stop that, because the "public" with their SUV's and thinking they live in a "free" country do not understand these words UNLESS he just talks to specifics like the Patriot Act being demolished, or the Executive Orders unilaterally & unprecedentedly ordered by Bush.
Listen, you guys, PLEASE, age has nothing to do with it. McCain is the same age. It has EVERYTHING to do with being beaten down NON-STOP on just about every single TV interview to "Debates" which are "Debacles", capische? I do think he MUST be weary of it all. Just look at the speech he did AFTER that Florida debate. Did you see it? It was FANTASTIC. So, it's not the lack of energy, or age...
If you're a Ron Paul supporter, and you thought RP lacked some drive and spark, then step up and defend his position!
It's sad to see someone calling himself a supporter of RP opting out when the tough gets going, just to get some attention for himself. Come on, make a positive contribution before you self-destruct.
I aggree Funky Dog. I thought he could have worded the question better and I think he looked a little run down too. Perhaps the campaign is taking a toll? Your probably right. I think hell bounce back.
Ron should have pointed out the fact, in every past debate..he had been the ONLY candidate warning against the economy while being ridiculed by the other candidates. Mike Huckabee actually hit a home run in Ron Paul fashion, by saying the the stimulus package is designed to stimulate China..I think his idea of building roads with American steel and concrete by American workers is more realistic.. In Ron Paul's defense, he wasn't granted the opportunity at that juncture of the debate.
I've been anxiously awaiting for Dr. Paul to shout, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!" He's been the only one consistently warning of economic collapse. Now that people are admitting he's right, they're not crediting him. That's not surprising, but the fact that he hasn't said "told you so" is.
BTW, I'd like to thank all commenters who chose to respond to what I said instead of flipping out because I dared to criticize Ron Paul. The latter group might be pleased to know that I'll be posting a more positive video soon (asking folks to donate to the campaign).
I think the number of views and the number of comments more than justify my decision to record a video instead of writing a blog post. I've had 100+ comment posts in the past, but those posts were looooooong and thoroughly researched. That takes a lot of time. This is a lot faster. Maybe I'm just lazy, but I think I'll make vids for my more ephemeral commentaries in the future.
I have to agree with you.. he could have setup the question about the Presidents Group of Foreign Markets a bit better...I also had to google it. In hindsight and watching the response of McCain AFTER knowing what the hell he was asking..it showed McCain weak on the economy..but during the debate, it appeared obscure to the average person.
I agree with most of what you said. Although I think his question to Mccain is debatable. I don't think he did all that bad. Dr. Paul didn't follow up much with Mccain's answer because he knew that he didn't have to nudge anymore... he was already off the cliff. I think he was just letting him talk because the longer he talked the more ignorant he looked.
Yeah, I agree that it was not his best debate, but we are all only human. It could have been worse... Did you catch some of the faces Guiliani was making when he was unaware he was on camera? Ron still owned McCain as always, and I thought that comment Huckabee made to Romney about his sons inheritance was uncalled for and out of line. I don't know, just my opinion.
I was going to give a 1 star rating and tell u to go fuck urself, then I thought ok, see what u say first and in all honesty, ur video is not really an attack but a mildly positive criticism. Yes, I agree partly that Ron Paul "seems" to have lost a lil steam but he's still IN!
Also, he's too NICE, gotta get tough, also, when not given time he should TAKE/STEAL time, like he did with Ghoulianni in the 1st debate! Look how much MSM he got for that! His advisers are crap, he needs to make more controversy and noise! That way people might actually listen! Anyway, save America, RON PAUL 2008!
You know, I'm not a supporter of Ron Paul, but he made McCain look less bright than usual, and that has made me change my mind as to whom I should support... and that I haven't decide, but it won't be McCain.
I almost totally agree with you, and glad to see people are being rather thoughtful and not lashing out at you for your thoughts. I think Dr. Paul must have been tired that day. Would like to see some Paul-campaign-generated lengthy forums where Dr. Paul would lay out his vision of how the country will look in two or three years with specific changes in place.
I would have liked to hear an attempt to lay out the economic stimulus plan RP has. Some of the pieces were mentioned, but not as part of a cohesive whole.
That may well be true. Then again, it may not. I think we need to be wary of suspecting too many conspiracies, lest we become the supporters who cried wolf.
We should be more wary about the effects of the media manipulation on us. If someone points out suspicious activities then he must be a conspiracy nut. Advocating peace is unpatriotic. Saying the truth is crossing the boundaries dictated to us by the rumors machine. We should not let them limit what we can say and the positions we can take.
his economic plan talks about changing some parts of the irs code and monitoring the fed. which means? there still is an irs, an income tax, and we still borrow our currency from the fed. competing currencys wont work when the bankers control the system. only a united states note would work. paul wont even say that we borrow our currency at interest from a private cabal. he only talks about reborrowing it from china and such.
you want immediate results and you want someone to do it for you. that's not going to happen given how incorported everything is with each other, including you and me. you should know that being so involved in all the propaganda movies you've watched. you're hot headed and that leads to haste. you want to just demolish in a campaign worth of time an institution that has a 100 year old foundation? Good luck. These things take time and EDUCATION. w w w dot ronpaullibrary dot com
calling it propaganda isn't insulting, it is what it is. it provides us with biased info, but offers no solutions. ron paul provides solutions, alex jones provides info. ron paul blurting, "9/11 WAS AN INSIDE JOB", seriously. there's a time and place for propaganda & for solutions. They go hand in hand, but in this case, they don't work at the same time.
Screaming, "9/11 was an inside job" provides opening to very broad speculation and that's all we can hope for in few sentences worth of propaganda on national TV. what that speculation might be is as wide as the spectrum of people listening. it takes 2 hrs worth of documentary to get the point across. and even then, you know. Ron Paul can't do that in the time alotted him and shouldn't. And although he wasted time this debate, haste makes waste.
i never suggested that he scream 911 was an inside job and act like a maniac. i said that there are many other things that he could have said that don't involve lying and insulting and ridiculing his base and promulgating the 911 myth. also if he did choose to lie he could have told a lie that would benefit the cause and not insult his supporters.
how about this "i dont know what happened that day but it seems a an independent is in order. i'm not an engineer but there are about 250 working professional architects and engineers in this country and almost 1000 engineering students who claim that the towers were brought down with explosives. they know more about it than i do, but i do know that wtc7 was not hit by a plane and it fell directly in its footprint at near free fall speeds and it wasn't even mentioned in the commision report.
and i also know that mr guilaini illegaly shipped off the steel to japan so that it could not be studied. and apparently guiliani was told the buildings were going to collapse ahead of time. and even john kerry has said he was told that wtc7 was deliberately demolished you can see video of rudy and kerry on you tube. so yes i think there are enough people wanting a new investigation to warrant one.
i don't think I ever actually heard RP indefinitely say he thought 9/11 was an ins job. just because he speculated doesn't mean its a good idea to get into that in a nationally televised debate anyway. it would have done him the worse and done the movement little good. i say, maybe on his last leg... cut loose. fuck it. not necessarily about 9/11. let's leave that to the ranters, like yourself. I hope you are as explosive in the real world as you are here.
You can't prosecute on vanished evidence. And if the people who did it are the people who make ALL this shit up, including our country, there's not much hope. All I'm saying is RP has an optimistic approach to these problems and bringing up disolved dead bones is counter this cause. Leave it to THAT movement. They're doing a good job letting people know what's up.
rudy used to be a prosecutor he knows that it was illegal to remove evidence from a crime scene, and yes it is prosecutable. as for everything else - rudy and john kerrys comments you can see them on you tube. i wouldn't call that vanished evidence.
not if Big Brother tells you to do it it's not. Listen, I think all the linked accusations are logical and solid. If they could get through, I think they would have already. It doesn't seem like anyone, with any authority or power(and the conpiricies are no secret)want anything of it.
I've followed this conspiracy and its relative history shit down a big dark multiplying hole and it led me to being depressed for a really long time. It's endless and these assholes cover it up well enough and have had five years to do it, it's a dead cause.
its anything but dead.Francesco Cossiga former president of italy has recently gone public about 911. the japanese government has been watching 911 film and conclude it was an inside job. there are more and more high level people coming out every day. ron paul has done more to kill the movement than anyone else. he is still the best choice. but he has absorbed the movement and smothered it with his denial.
Unless you become Superman, able to waterboard any CIA, FBI, elitists, govt. officials, etc... and even if the entire country, or better yet, the world knows about it nothing will happen. No matter how much evidence you have, as long all the assheads watching FOX, NBC,ABC,CBS, etc... believe its shit because they're told it's shit, or disregarded as shit, then its shit. Look at RP. He should receive next years nobel peace prize, but no... he's shit.
911 truthers are not his entire base, or better yet, 911 is not the basis of this movement. i know many people, many RP people, including myself believe 911 was an ins job, but that is practically a dead cause. The job at hand is to strengthen this message of freedom, peace and the constitution RP is offering us.
I know a lot of people, including myself, who don't believe 9/11 was an inside job (at least not entirely). Furthermore, if Dr. Paul added 9/11 "truth" to his campaign, he might lose the support of a lot of non-truthers.
i could swear that i saw a chemistry book on you bookshelf. i would assume that you at least took 100 level physics as well. so watch wtc7 collapse in its footprint and explain how its not an inside job. please tell me how the pancake collapse didnt violat newtons first three laws of physics? what about the fiefighters and witnesses who witnessed explosions before the planes hit?
no the issue is and always was neofeudalism. 911 has set policy unfortunately for the world since the elite have used it as their excuse for their war on us. if people can't handle reality however depressing it is then too bad, its still no reason to put their head in the sand. i know many people who are still upset at muslims for 911 and support "a war on islam
No, the issue is the US and the world. You and many others will dwell on what happened on 911 till the day you die and they'll laugh with their elitist rich laughs that you wasted all your time on youtube trying to convince people through comments, instead of duplicating Loose Change and AFF with your own hard earned money and distributing as many as you can. That is if this is SO important to you. You're in a meetup? You need to go join "We Are Change".
why don't you watch"Who's Responsible? New Hampshire Chain of Custody Sham" on youtube and then tell me what ron paul is going to do for the country. if people aren't educated as to the real political situation we have then it won't mean shit when they steal the vote from us.
RP has done and hopefully will continue to do a great deal of good for this country. He's promoted honesty and transparancy of govt at a national level. That's already a little too much for NFL fans and drones to consume in a year's time. Now you want them to consume... ALL THAT? Don't think that will go over too well in the masses.
You want everything to happen in a flash. It won't. We will probalby suffer for it, but you're putting the majority in your mindframe. They're not, they're on American Idol and NFL. You can't break that forcefield with one blow. YOu have to knick away at it. RP has unintentionally got the right idea.
well i think u suck first. then i would say Paul didn't do very good in this debate, primarily because the commentators didn't give him enough time, and, he did sometimes talk a bit off the context.
About the money bomb. Have you ever been in retail? I have, Janurary is the slowest month because everyone is rebounding from Christmas. I did not have the money to give this time, but when I get caught up I am going to. He finally started getting 2nd place and now it's ending?
Yeah, maybe, but that can't be laid at the feet of Dr. Paul. He has also just won the endorsement of the Alabama Republican Assembly. On the first round. They say no body has ever won the endorsement (with so many running) in the first round. You must win by 2/3 to get the endorsement.
Have you see the personal video Ron Paul put on youtube to his supporters yet? It just came out.
I just watched it, and I am both encouraged and worried. It reminded me a little of Fred Thompson's speech before dropping out. It sounds like he would personally be willing to drop out, but he'll stay in as long as the movement wants him in. Maybe I'm just being too pessimistic. *shrug*
Yea, maybe you are. Ron Paul is doing this for us, for "we the people". Just think about that. Do you realize that he is going against the establisment? We both know what has happened to others who have done that. He is willing to risk everything for us! He wants this message out! It is up to us to take the torch and march.
Okay, everyone has off moments. We need to keep with this. You just sat there and pointed out everything you "thought" was wrong with him. Besides shouldn't this "advice" be going to Paul himself, not the supporters?
I understand and I agree if he did have more "charm" he might do better, but the truth is he doesn't do those things to get votes and if he did I might start to think he was a sell out. Plus he still wouldn't get the air time.
Unfortunately, I agree with you. It gets frustrating at times. His thoughts are deep but his delivery isn't very slick. The ignorant masses in America, want smooth delivery like the lying preacher, Huckalberry.
It doesn't get him off the hook but it puts things in a realistic perspective and not a mirage of perfection that can never be reached. They way people envision things are not necessarily what happen in real life.
I wouldn't use the term "sucked", because he did have a couple of other good moments, but I did observe the same disappointment about the question to McCain. I also felt he needed to elaborate what he was talking about. I've also COMPLAINED to hdqrtrs about his need to talk to 4th grade level audiences.
Dr. Paul really needs a good "handler", someone who can rehearse with him, and teach him how to engage himself with the real & TV audience. I wish I could do this, but I hate to say it, but whoever is his "handler" is just plain lousy, and how I can I get to him to help him? It may not be too late, yet.
One last thing of criticism about your thoughts...how would you feel if you'd been tortured, kicked, laughed at, ridiculed, beaten down, publicly humiliated in front of millions of people? After a while, I think even you'd have felt "tired" and defeated, don't you think?
His last two debates have been abysmal in my opinion. He is speaking so esoterically and abstractly that it just isn't adding up lately. The average person wouldn't be able to pick up his campaign message. He really needs to brush up on his speaking points.
It seems like no matter how hard we push, the MSM refuses coverage and the paulitics have been at it for almost a year. I suggest looking at Mitt Romey's platform for motivation.
yeah well it would do more good than him talking about nothing all year and having the election stolen from him anyway. they wont let him win you have to know that. so what are we doing a pseudo campaign about nothing? what a waste of time. the political climate is a lot more serious than that.
well, think about it, he's educated a hell of a lot more people than the likes of Alex Jones, gotten more airtime and promotes a positive solution. Alex Jones has no solution. He's running around in paranoid circles. Anyway, it's about his message and education. I posted links below. This education needs to sustain beyond this race. a 2 hour movie won't give people the tools to do anything. it will jsut make them paranoid without a clue. educate yourself.
i don't think he would have much of a campaign if it wasn't for alex jones and freedom to fascism. almost everyone in my meetup are infowarriors at least the active ones. in fiat currency and freedom to fascism dr paul educated people. since the campaign started he has only put a spotlight on media bias nothing more. his economic plan he came out with is a dead end and he shys away from important issues.
i think his economic plan directly slams all this crap that's in play right now. think about why, through alex jones and AFF, Ron Paul has gained so much attention. it's his positive solutions. i'm not worried whether or not he wins. we have this POSITIVE education at our fingertips and we can continue to trumpet that. it's really all we can do. so
I think Dr. Paul knows these guys very well and he knows how to handle himself with them. Looking from the outside it is easy to think that things should have been handled differently but being in Dr. Paul's place it is hard to find anyone that would handle it better than him. When the whole system is against you with all its resources it is an uneasy task to defeat it. I think that question instantly eliminated John McCain from the race.
SOME ONE IN MY MEET UP GROUP TOLD ME " YOU CAN'T FEED STEAK TO A BABY" referring to the masses. but i think they will be as dumb as you let them. you can feed steak to a baby, you just have to chop it up real small and shove it up their ass. they may poop most of it out but some of it gets digested...

Otherwise, I would agree.

Only the U.S. can save the world.?The world's going to collapse without the U.S. ok.
AB12AC321 3 years ago
I'm not saying only the US has the power to preserve civilization from the 21st century goths. I'm saying right now that the US is the only nation with the moral clarity and resolve to defend stability. We have bases all around the world, yes? If we axe them we have no effective reach against a worst case nuclear crisis in the most worrysome places. This could effect you directly. If Europe made people work for a living and provide for their own defense things would be better, agreed.
Z8nate 3 years ago
As much as I hate to admit it... your right. However this might be the beginning of the end for his presidential campaign, but its never too late to educate. People are slowly waking up and will continue to do so. The house of cards will fall and we will be ready.

He is a terrible speaker, I'll give you that. That is a major flaw that comes with age and his nervous personality, but hell, we've gotten this far.
takadi 4 years ago
We've gotten exactly as far as the point where online support had to become offline. Some combination of Dr. Paul, his campaign leaders, and his supporters didn't translate well to the world of 24-hr news media infotainment and sound bites.
FunkyDung 4 years ago
It was a perfect storm I guess. But even as a pessimist, it was a huge victory considering how far he went despite all the simple mistakes that could have been avoided or fixed.
I wouldn't say McCain is the best speaker either (in fact, he sounds like a retarded child), but you forget we didn't have the establishment on our side and they luxury of moral corruption
takadi 4 years ago
I agree, I noticed that he was dull that night. Rudy dropped out, so now the mainstream media will be forced to give him attention. I think we will probably know within a month or less whats going to happen with Ron Paul.
tre70808 4 years ago
After watching last night's California debate, it's obvious that MSM don't feel forced to pay any attention to Dr. Paul whatsoever.
FunkyDung 4 years ago
That seems to be their weapon. None of the candidates are even commenting on his 'rediculous' comments. They are trying to isolate him.
wonderfwuka 4 years ago
He did much better in this last CNN debate. Of course, he was alotted fair time to speak. I forgot who said this, but whoever it was said most of the time Ron Paul sounds like a nut idiot even when he gets fair time to speak at debates because what he's always trying to get across requires much longer than 60 seconds. But which is plenty enough time for the rest to 'campaign'. it sure isn't an 'ideas' platform. I fucking hate debates.
wonderfwuka 4 years ago
I'm sure last night's California debate didn't give you any warm fuzzies. ;)
FunkyDung 4 years ago
had a few good moments. nothing to jerk off to, but he was a little more feisty and engaging. i'd like for him to really spell out the unfairness and disadvantages the hosts are putting on him. he does politely. i can't stand that.
wonderfwuka 4 years ago
I hate to say it, but I think you are right about the debate. I don't think it is the beginning of the end. Maybe the end of running as a Republican, but not the end of running for President.
shadowcasterband 4 years ago
Ron Paul's message that night I think was consistency. He's saying the same stuff he's been saying, because that's the message that is right and powerful. It may have seemed redundant because you've heard it a hundred times. And January is the month after Christmas. People can't afford to give a money bomb right now.
displayname22 4 years ago
I very much agree that RP wasn't on top of his game that night. He's been faced with media interference and mass manipulation and the effects of double-think planted deeply in the American subconscious. I'd be a bit down too. I'm with the 911 truth movement and the CFR movement and occassionally a bowel movement. The only lasting impact is a violent one, and I suggest you guys get ready for it.

considering after the poll when people texted in who won the debate with Ron Paul second at 40 percent. Yeah..i guess your alone saying he sucked. Could he have said more? sure..but still second doesnt mean he sucked...last i checked second place is pretty good considering only 1 percent behind number 1.
ciscokidproductions 4 years ago
C'mon, that poll was spammed by Paulites. It wasn't representative of the general viewing public's opinions.
FunkyDung 4 years ago
thanks for speaking up. if dr. paul listened to his supporters instead of some political lackeys his campaign would be back on track. blindly following someone regardless of their actions will only get you martial law. in contrast to everybody else i don't think giving constructive criticism to someone is betrayal.

FunkyDung 4 years ago
never said you sucked..i dont care. But for you to say the poll was all done by Paulites isnt really fair because Mitt Romney was the one who won? I mean its purely speculation. I dont care if you suck or not.
ciscokidproductions 4 years ago
I believe there's a consistent trend of various polls being spammed by Paulites. I think the actual vote counts support that belief. If the good doctor surprises everyone and wins some states by large margins, I'll be wrong.
FunkyDung 4 years ago

2.This is a tough race. ALL the candidates (even Obama) have been exhausted. There will be ups and downs. This may be just the START of an independent run. YOU need to keep your spirits up . . . not only on the good days, but especially on the not so good days.

You make some valid points, but:
1.The latest $ bomb brought in a ton of $. You are painting it EXACTLY the way many RP supporters predicted opponents would spin it - "less than the first 2 bombs" . . . (It's still pretty damn good in a recession just after Christmas!)

funky dung, for one bad name for another what a waste of a video. I'm not a cheerleader for ron and no one els is we strongly believe the entire system needs to change. the only problem now is that rp is too nice to play their game. he courageously answers all the major questions with one main thing we have too much overseas spending to properly fix anything in our own country.which is the sad fact. post a video about that instead.
pestronia 4 years ago
Can anyone find a McCain, Huckabee, Romney, or Giuliani so called supporter posting a video like this. NO, of course not. I guess we'll see if this guy is a fake supporter or just a supporter who has practically thrown in the towel. Since he answered back, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I too thought Ron Paul looked tired but I would have chosen to use my time wisely to support him by posting a positive video post.
youtubeuser 4 years ago
I guess I'm just tired of the non-stop cheerleading. If this is really about the issues, then we should be willing to be critical of Dr. Paul from time to time. He's not God.
FunkyDung 4 years ago
I said it is o.k. to be critical. The Revolution isn't about ONE MAN. Ron Paul will take this to the end. If you merely stated that you thought he didn't do well in debate then I myself wouldn't counter you. But YOU DID SAY that this is the END and that YOU're RIGHT. That's why you're getting many negative responses. I thought it wasn't his best debate but I don't see it as the Beginning of the End. You're calling the game when we're still in the 1st Quarter of the Game.
youtubeuser 4 years ago
The horse race analogy that the media use is more apt. They've gone around the track a few times, and some of the horses have fallen down. Right now, Paul and Ghouliani are both in the back of the pack. Ghouliani's gonna sprint for the lead, but he'll never make it. His horse will run out of energy and fall back, probably out of the race. Paul will still be there, his horse having the endurance to go a long way. Can he ever get into the pack of leaders, though?
FunkyDung 4 years ago
You said, "I'm afraid we could be seeing the beginning of the end. It's been a fun ride." "I'm calling it, this is the beginning of the end." I think it's o.k. to criticize Ron Paul but why did you chose to make your first video speaking against Ron Paul. Why not a Pro-Ron Paul video or a video against the others. If a candidate said,"I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!" The media would jump on it and treat him as a madman.
youtubeuser 4 years ago
He's already labeled a madman, so what does he have to lose?
As for your criticism of the subject of my first video, point taken.

While I wish I could coach RP on some presentation skills, he HAS LISTENED to me in NOT spewing out the words "LIBERTY, or PROSPERITY". I told him to stop that, because the "public" with their SUV's and thinking they live in a "free" country do not understand these words UNLESS he just talks to specifics like the Patriot Act being demolished, or the Executive Orders unilaterally & unprecedentedly ordered by Bush.
cepivon 4 years ago
Listen, you guys, PLEASE, age has nothing to do with it. McCain is the same age. In Ron Paul's defense, he wasn't granted the opportunity at that juncture of the debate.
bobba2k 4 years ago 2
I've been anxiously awaiting for Dr. Paul to shout, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!" He's been the only one consistently warning of economic collapse. Now that people are admitting he's right, they're not crediting him. That's not surprising, but the fact that he hasn't said "told you so" is.
FunkyDung 4 years ago
BTW, I'd like to thank all commenters who chose to respond to what I said instead of flipping out because I dared to criticize Ron Paul. The latter group might be pleased to know that I'll be posting a more positive video soon (asking folks to donate to the campaign).
FunkyDung 4 years ago
I think the number of views and the number of comments more than justify my decision to record a video instead of writing a blog post. I've had 100+ comment posts in the past, but those posts were looooooong and thoroughly researched. That takes a lot of time. This is a lot faster. Maybe I'm just lazy, but I think I'll make vids for my more ephemeral commentaries in the future.
FunkyDung 4 years ago
I have to agree with you.. he could have setup the question about the Presidents Group of Foreign Markets a bit better...I also had to google it.

That may well be true. Then again, it may not. I think we need to be wary of suspecting too many conspiracies, lest we become the supporters who cried wolf.

We should be more wary about the effects of the media manipulation on us. If someone points out suspicious activities then he must be a conspiracy nut. Advocating peace is unpatriotic. Saying the truth is crossing the boundaries dictated to us by the rumors machine. We should not let them limit what we can say and the positions we can take.

his economic plan talks about changing some parts of the irs code and monitoring the fed. which means? there still is an irs, an income tax, and we still borrow our currency from the fed. competing currencys wont work when the bankers control the system. only a united states note would work. paul wont even say that we borrow our currency at interest from a private cabal. he only talks about reborrowing it from china and such.

propaganda??
abrahamblincoln 4 years ago
calling it propaganda isn't insulting, it is what it is. it provides us with biased info, but offers no solutions. ron paul provides solutions, alex jones provides info. ron paul blurting, "9/11 WAS AN INSIDE JOB", seriously. there's a time and place for propaganda & for solutions. They go hand in hand, but in this case, they don't work at the same time.
wonderfwuka 4 years ago
Screaming, "9/11 was an inside job" provides opening to very broad speculation and that's all we can hope for in few sentences worth of propaganda on national TV. what that speculation might be is as wide as the spectrum of people listening. it takes 2 hrs worth of documentary to get the point across. and even then, you know. Ron Paul can't do that in the time alotted him and shouldn't. And although he wasted time this debate, haste makes waste.
wonderfwuka 4 years ago
i never suggested that he scream 911 was an inside job and act like a maniac. i said that there are many other things that he could have said that don't involve lying and insulting and ridiculing his base and promulgating the 911 myth. also if he did choose to lie he could have told a lie that would benefit the cause and not insult his supporters.
abrahamblincoln 4 years ago
how about this "i dont know what happened that day but it seems a an independent is in order. i'm not an engineer but there are about 250 working professional architects and engineers in this country and almost 1000 engineering students who claim that the towers were brought down with explosives. they know more about it than i do, but i do know that wtc7 was not hit by a plane and it fell directly in its footprint at near free fall speeds and it wasn't even mentioned in the commision report.
abrahamblincoln 4 years ago
and i also know that mr guilaini illegaly shipped off the steel to japan so that it could not be studied. and apparently guiliani was told the buildings were going to collapse ahead of time. and even john kerry has said he was told that wtc7 was deliberately demolished you can see video of rudy and kerry on you tube. so yes i think there are enough people wanting a new investigation to warrant one.
abrahamblincoln 4 years ago
disprove any of that.. oh yeah "propaganda"
abrahamblincoln 4 years ago
or you could lie, and look like a liar, and insult the people that started your movement, and call the truth "preposterous"
abrahamblincoln 4 years ago
i don't think I ever actually heard RP indefinitely say he thought 9/11 was an ins job. just because he speculated doesn't mean its a good idea to get into that in a nationally televised debate anyway. it would have done him the worse and done the movement little good. i say, maybe on his last leg... cut loose. fuck it. not necessarily about 9/11. let's leave that to the ranters, like yourself. I hope you are as explosive in the real world as you are here.

the definition of propaganda doesn't include the words "lie" or "fabrication"

You can't prosecute on vanished evidence. And if the people who did it are the people who make ALL this shit up, including our country, there's not much hope. They're doing a good job letting people know what's up.
wonderfwuka 4 years ago
rudy used to be a prosecutor he knows that it was illegal to remove evidence from a crime scene, and yes it is prosecutable. as for everything else - rudy and john kerrys comments you can see them on you tube. i wouldn't call that vanished evidence.

its anything but dead.Francesco Cossiga former president of italy has recently gone public about 911. the japanese government has been watching 911 film and conclude it was an inside job. there are more and more high level people coming out every day. ron paul has done more to kill the movement than anyone else. he is still the best choice. but he has absorbed the movement and smothered it with his denial.

911 truthers are not his entire base, or better yet, 911 is not the basis of this movement. i know many people, many RP people, including myself believe 911 was an ins job, but that is practically a dead cause. The job at hand is to strengthen this message of freedom, peace and the constitution RP is offering us.
wonderfwuka 4 years ago
I know a lot of people, including myself, who don't believe 9/11 was an inside job (at least not entirely). Furthermore, if Dr. Paul added 9/11 "truth" to his campaign, he might lose the support of a lot of non-truthers.

no the issue is and always was neofeudalism. 911 has set policy unfortunately for the world since the elite have used it as their excuse for their war on us. if people can't handle reality however depressing it is then too bad, its still no reason to put their head in the sand. i know many people who are still upset at muslims for 911 and support "a war on islam
abrahamblincoln 4 years ago
No, the issue is the US and the world. RP has done and hopefully will continue to do a great deal of good for this country. He's promoted honesty and transparancy of govt at a national level. About the money bomb. Have you ever been in retail? I have, Janurary is the slowest month because everyone is rebounding from Christmas. I did not have the money to give this time, but when I get caught up I am going to. He finally started getting 2nd place and now it's ending?

Then the money bomb was poorly timed. I don't think there should have been another one before liberty tax.
FunkyDung 4 years ago
Yeah, maybe, but that can't be laid at the feet of Dr. Paul. He has also just won the endorsement of the Alabama Republican Assembly. On the first round. They say no body has ever won the endorsement (with so many running) in the first round. You must win by 2/3 to get the endorsement.
Have you see the personal video Ron Paul put on youtube to his supporters yet? It just came out.
wakeup2change 4 years ago
Nope. I'll look for it now. :)
FunkyDung 4 years ago
Okay, if you can't find it just add me as a friend and I will send it to you!
wakeup2change 4 years ago
I just watched it, and I am both encouraged and worried. It reminded me a little of Fred Thompson's speech before dropping out. It sounds like he would personally be willing to drop out, but he'll stay in as long as the movement wants him in. Maybe I'm just being too pessimistic. *shrug*
FunkyDung 4 years ago
Yea, maybe you are. Ron Paul is doing this for us, for "we the people". Just think about that. Do you realize that he is going against the establisment? We both know what has happened to others who have done that. He is willing to risk everything for us! He wants this message out! It is up to us to take the torch and march.
wakeup2change 4 years ago
"He has also just won the endorsement of the Alabama Republican Assembly."
That's great, but will it translate into votes? After all, he's won a ton of straw polls, and that didn't seem to help him.
FunkyDung 4 years ago
an actual endorsement carries more weight than a straw poll. That is why the other candidates go after them.
wakeup2change 4 years ago
Okay, everyone has off moments. We need to keep with this. You just sat there and pointed out everything you "thought" was wrong with him. Besides shouldn't this "advice" be going to Paul himself, not the supporters?
wakeup2change 4 years ago
I wanted to get those thoughts off my chest - to nobody in particular.
I've heard the campaign doesn't pay much attention to outside advice. Besides, I can always send the vid to them.
FunkyDung 4 years ago
I understand and I agree if he did have more "charm" he might do better, but the truth is he doesn't do those things to get votes and if he did I might start to think he was a sell out. Plus he still wouldn't get the air time.
wakeup2change 4 years ago
Unfortunately, I agree with you. It gets frustrating at times. His thoughts are deep but his delivery isn't very slick. The ignorant masses in America, want smooth delivery like the lying preacher, Huckalberry.
tittle14 4 years ago
Huck's charm and Paul's brain would be unstoppable.
FunkyDung 4 years ago
I think some of the people complaining if they were in Dr. Paul's position they would probably be scared stiff to utter a word.
Opiner 4 years ago
So? How does that get a candidate off the hook?
FunkyDung 4 years ago
It doesn't get him off the hook but it puts things in a realistic perspective and not a mirage of perfection that can never be reached. They way people envision things are not necessarily what happen in real life.
Opiner 4 years ago
I would hate to have to listen to you in a debate. Geesh!

Good thing I'm not running for office.
FunkyDung 4 years ago
wow...I actually agree with your analysis to a certain extent.
4 stars.
I totally believe that mccain question was weak on ron paul's part...hopefully things pick up.
avoozl07 4 years ago
it is hard to do all that well when you get only 6 mins of air time compared to Romney's 24 mins
Nolimit75 4 years ago
I wouldn't use the term "sucked", because he did have a couple of other good moments, but I did observe the same disappointment about the question to McCain. I also felt he needed to elaborate what he was talking about. I've also COMPLAINED to hdqrtrs about his need to talk to 4th grade level audiences.
cepivon 4 years ago
Dr. Paul really needs a good "handler", someone who can rehearse with him, and teach him how to engage himself with the real & TV audience. I wish I could do this, but I hate to say it, but whoever is his "handler" is just plain lousy, and how I can I get to him to help him? It may not be too late, yet.
cepivon 4 years ago
One last thing of criticism about your thoughts...how would you feel if you'd been tortured, kicked, laughed at, ridiculed, beaten down, publicly humiliated in front of millions of people? After a while, I think even you'd have felt "tired" and defeated, don't you think?
cepivon 4 years ago
I'd like to think I'd be pretty fired up. I don't like being ignored or talked over.
FunkyDung 4 years ago
His last two debates have been abysmal in my opinion. He is speaking so esoterically and abstractly that it just isn't adding up lately. The average person wouldn't be able to pick up his campaign message. He really needs to brush up on his speaking points.
It seems like no matter how hard we push, the MSM refuses coverage and the paulitics have been at it for almost a year. I suggest looking at Mitt Romey's platform for motivation.

perhaps we should buy clearchannel instead of a blimp..

It's good to know someone else isn't afraid of being a little critical.
FunkyDung 4 years ago
yeah well it would do more good than him talking about nothing all year and having the election stolen from him anyway. they wont let him win you have to know that. so what are we doing a pseudo campaign about nothing? what a waste of time. the political climate is a lot more serious than that.
abrahamblincoln 4 years ago
well, think about it, he's educated a hell of a lot more people than the likes of Alex Jones, gotten more airtime and promotes a positive solution. Alex Jones has no solution. He's running around in paranoid circles. Anyway, it's about his message and education. I posted links below. This education needs to sustain beyond this race. a 2 hour movie won't give people the tools to do anything. it will jsut make them paranoid without a clue. educate yourself.
wonderfwuka 4 years ago
i don't think he would have much of a campaign if it wasn't for alex jones and freedom to fascism. almost everyone in my meetup are infowarriors at least the active ones. in fiat currency and freedom to fascism dr paul educated people. since the campaign started he has only put a spotlight on media bias nothing more. his economic plan he came out with is a dead end and he shys away from important issues.
abrahamblincoln 4 years ago
i think his economic plan directly slams all this crap that's in play right now. think about why, through alex jones and AFF, Ron Paul has gained so much attention. it's his positive solutions. i'm not worried whether or not he wins. we have this POSITIVE education at our fingertips and we can continue to trumpet that. it's really all we can do. so
wonderfwuka 4 years ago

Dude... clean your room. Ron Paul 2008!
