Sweet video! And that collapse sounded ugly, glad nothing was too messed up. Our club has been getting things ready for us to start actual operating sessions and there is a lot more involved than I thought there would be. It will be my first time doing it also. Will certainly be a learning experience.
@Defiant47 Ya, it was just the container fleet that all fell off of the container ship. The running nights are pretty awesome. You just have to really pay attention to what cars your dropping off and which ones your picking up and what cars go where and all that.
@dmncau Thanks, I have the exact same one but I couldn't run it as it was the same # as the one that was already being ran. It is a Broadway Limited but it's the Paragon series. They are nice, I have had mine for 2 years now and have had 0 problems with it, I recomend buying them.
@dmncau I got mine in the States. I live right on the boarder in Windsor so I go to the States alot and buy train stuff there and at a hobby store in Kingsville called Action Hobbies
@CPWindsorsub Just tell me where i can get a HO Scale Canadian National SD40-2W or SD40-2 in zebra stripes or up to date paint that has good sound decoder and a good horn!
@CPWindsorsub I've already bought a MTH CN SD70M-2 With proto sound 3.0 I just want to add more to the fleet. I'm going to make a big order on woodland scenics stuff for the layout. Next locomotive purchase is a ES44DC or SD40-2.
@CPWindsorsub Nice! does the Tsunami sound have a K5LLA for the horn? this proto sound 3.0 is not a k5lla for the horn and it made me mad...so i guess i'll have to change the sound decoder myself. This christmas i'm hoping to get a CN ES44DC #2240, IC SD70 #1000, and maybe a SD40-2...
@DieselSmoke92 I have no idea what a K5LLA horn is lol. I don't know that stuff. Watch my video of it running @ the WMRC, I have a few vids of it on there blowing the horn for the crossing. And I never knew there was an ES44DC, whats the difference between the ES44AC and ES44DC? And thats one hell of a Christmas list lol
@CPWindsorsub See thats what CP teaches you...they don't teach you horn types or engine types since almost every single one is the same. The K5LLA is equipped on SD70M-2's/ACe's and there the loudest train horn up to date. CN does not have ES44AC's but they have ES44DC's. On CN's fleet there roadnumbers are 2200-2300 i belive.
@DieselSmoke92 Oh, I have never heard of ES44DC's. Okay, like I said, I'm just trying to learn the locomotive types and what engines I should be looking for lol, I'll learn the horns and stuff later.
@DieselSmoke92 The SD70M-2's are made in London, the GE's are made in the states lol. But I'll look out for them in Windsor. So, they have a different looking hood then the ES44AC. What differences are there.
@CPWindsorsub No we had a real one in october, when you were there and fred was showing everyone wasnt an operating night, and ill let u no if we can go when i get my licnce, will be short notice since i wont no till wendsday
@Mrsmshit You mean for the Denfeild road railmeet? So far it looks like my dad can take us if you don't have your lisence but he said if you get your lisence then we can just go together. Can't wait for it. Should be some awesome railfanning
Everyone, I worded this wrong, this isn't the first ever opperating night, before the club started building the new layout(also before I was a member but I was always there to watch)the WMRC had an operating night every week on the modular layout.
Everything goes wrong on operation night when I was a member of the Yonkers Model Railroad Club/Greater Putnam Div. we would always run trains the night before an Open House to eliminate defects and bugs and it seemed overnight the gremlins would get in and play tricks on the layout and when the guests were there the next day all hell would break loose and you know what happened next derailments/shorts/cornfield meets/it was always an adventure so its not surprising the events on your vid.
@cvgeeps Lol, I know exactly what you mean, at the Essex Train Show 2011 we had so many shorts people were just lookign at the layout for the detail, not the trains lol. A the first open house just before the train show I tried to run a really long train and at one point my whole train stalled and blocked the whole layout for 10 min lol. Everytime you want to show off your layout it doesn't work, when were just running on a regular day we could have 30 trains at the same time and no shorts lol

@CPWindsorsub haha ive learned it all now...just learning older ones. Learn up on SD70M-2's and ES44DC's there the best.
DieselSmoke92 3 months ago
@DieselSmoke92 I agree with the SD70M-2 but not the GE one lol. I love EMD and I only like the new ES44AC's and thats it lol
CPWindsorsub 3 months ago
@CPWindsorsub The ES44DC's are more Canadian lol since CN uses them. I find them alot more nicer idk the differences but the hoods look different.

@CPWindsorsub Dude i can't say i've never seen a real ES44AC lol.
DieselSmoke92 3 months ago
@DieselSmoke92 Lol, CP has 100's of the buggers
CPWindsorsub 3 months ago
@CPWindsorsub and CN has 100's of ES44DC buggers but on an average CN you see SD70M-2 over ANYTHING.
