I agree. They felt Freddy was seen as too jokey by the new audience they were going for so they wanted Jackie as a darker, more serious Krueger. As a movie I felt it was good but not as good as ones like the original and Dream Warriors.

I agree but my guess on the makeup was they were trying to make it different so they didn't seem to be copying Robert. The producers said if they do a sequel they're gonna change the makeup and make it look closer to the original.

If they were using Rob as the actor in New Nightmare, then they should use Freddy's usual wardrobe and make-up. Jackie wasn't as funny in the 2010 Elm street movie.

The studio and costumers picked his stuff. He was on the commentary I heard and showed nothing but respect for Robert and the original movies. I thought he did a great job and from what I saw on the Never Sleep Again doc, Robert and other folks were pretty high on him. Robert is the best Freddy ever, but Jackie did a decent job.

I tried ripping it, I tried downloading it, I tried converting the files...nothing worked. I just moved on and made this. As much as I wanted it complete...I'm happy with no "Freddy's Dead".
