@stperkin Exactly. For Germany to win, FDR and his vice president would have to have been impeached before autumn 1940, and a Nazi-friendly government voted in here in the US in November of that year.

I disagree. The Britain of the thirties was absolutely unprepared for war, both mentally and militarily. They were underarmed and pacifist - see the support Chamberlain garnered for his peaceful policies of appeasing Hitler. It took Britain five whole years before they were ready to throw themselves back on the continent - well, put it this way, they weren't ready then either.
