  • Thanks for posting this version, around here, we call her Sally Goodin,

  • @kazzymojo

I was just being proper and showed the title as it is on the old 78. But, you and me and most everybody says Sally Goodin. It just sounds better, don't it?

Glad you liked the music; and thank you, too.

  • fantastic!!

  • Thank you!

  • excellent little window on the musical past

  • Thank you

  • @likekinds just come across this,what a joy.thanks likeinds

  • @bigtelful

    Thank you, too.

  • I couldn't believe it when I typed in Clayton Mcmichen and foung Sally Goodwin. I have an great collection of 78's from these guys. I worked my fingers to the bone to learn those Riley Puckett runs! No one plays like that anymore. But I do!

  • Is the photo of the girl a modern photo?

    Pretty girl anyway.

    I like the music.

    Thanks

  • Thanks Ron,

I've had this photograph for a good while. I never thought to investigate it. Even though the clothes look authentic, I thought it was a modern photograph.

I couldn't find the girl's name, but the photo is an article of 'Glamour Photographs' and was created in 1901!

The title of the photograph is:

    The Moonshiner's Daughter

    So, we both learned something.

    Thanks, again.

  • I love this song

  • yeah this is good!

  • OOOEEE! Well butter my biscuits! Mighty hot fiddlin' and purty good video too.

  • Thanks, Carol,

Butter on a biscuit IS good. But, I'd rather have a thin slab of fat back 'fried out' real crisp on my biscuit.

    Hit's better'n Chateaubriand!

  • And thank you, nice lady.

  • Yes, Ethan,

This IS a good song and the guitar picking really does something to me. Each generation has it's own preferences in music. With the exception of a very few, there are some real jewels to be found in most all types of music, no matter from which generation they came.

The fact that you like this song, shows you have quite a varied taste in music and this is a good thing.

    Thank you

  • This IS a good song! Nice job!
