  • huh, they still make plasma tv i thought they were dead!

  • is plasma good for playin video games in hd?

  • @eseblue13 yes, newer ones at least

  • The plasma may look way better in this vid but that's because the LCD is at an angle. Who watches their tv from the side? My LCD can get a picture like the plasma shown here if I just take the time to hit the same button a few times to change picture settings.

  • @aCentreThinker If you break a LCD you will have to buy a new one, If you break a plasma you can easely fix it yourself like i did. I have a Philips plasma tv and a sony bravia and someone by accident fucked the screen up and its like a $1500 dollar job to fix. I also had my plasma broken and just replaced some components inside and it cost me like $3 to fix. Fuck LCD ill never buy one again.

  • @bdbfighting I keep my tv on the wall and there is a warranty on it. NO children get near my tv, but its still good to know that information about repairs.

  • no doubt plasma is better than lcd in terms of graphics..but i know plasma has disadvantages too..like it will get 'burnt' easily(as compared to lcd) if u play video games

  • Pause this video at 0:16 and you can tell witch TV is the Plasma TV and witch one is the LCD TV just by the color and detail of the picture.

  • I want to get a 1080p Plasma.

  • The average power usage difference between LCD and Plasma is 30-40 watts.

Thats not enough to notice since it is less than one average house lightbulb.

Also, some LCD's now have a glossy reflective screen which reflects more light than a plasma (see samsung clearview)

  • I have a Panasonic G10. Better for gaming, than ANY lcd! No input lag, and amazing color.

  • @rhoadsrulesfan how is it holding up? is the panasonic G 10 still the best for playing games?

  • you can burn a image in a plasma so lcds are better

  • I have sold TV's for the last 6 years and have a passion to get the best picture possible. For all of you who don't get it, GET A PLASMA. They are better in every aspect: speed, depth, life span, etc. When you walk into a store the LCD's will grab your attention because they are brighter but are displaying washed out details due to their brightness. All the videphiles agree that Plasma is better, why don't you LCD lovers listen to the experts.

  • LCD and Plasma have their strong points. it depends for what you need the TV. for example: if you want to watch a blu-ray film or play with a gaming console, then a LCD is much better. and if you just want to watch normal TV, then plasma is better.

  • see how can people say lcd is better for gaming i dont get this shit

lcd makes you pay like $900 more to get 240hz

while plasma's are pumping out 600hz refresh rate

    60hz lcd's are crap

  • Yea! LCD = More of a Gaming type of TV

  • @Lulatsch24 Your wrong. Plasma is better in every situation, except in a viewing enviroment with a large amount of ambient light. In this case, LCD is better because the screen is far less reflective. However, I would rather have to close some curtains to watch a plasma then have to live with an inferior LCD picture.

  • Plasma is easy on the budget? Get the fuck outta here you fucking liar!

  • why is he a liar??

  • google i suggest you try this

  • Yea my Tosiba 52In PLASMA 1080i costed 2.5K and my Samsung 32In LCD

    costed only 600$

  • How much do you guys love digital converter boxes

  • do you guys install ceiling fans?

  • hey does anyone know if the geek squad would install a video card into a laptop for free?

  • not for free but they probably would for some money

  • Not only will they not do it for free, they also will not do it for money. Doing so is such a risky procedure, it will void your warranty and any service plan and can permanently damage your laptop. Good luck finding any computer repair shop that will do this for you.

  • haha ya.. i pretty much gave up the idea of computer gaming.. im sticking to the consoles. im more of an outside person anyway.. not a sit in my room playing video games all day person.

  • no they don't

  • Very good commentary!

  • I never knew the difference between LCD and plasma, Thanks for pointing it out =P

  • ?? you dont have a very good eye for detail do you. lol. they pretty much just pointed out the obvious. rofl.. no offense

  • I Myself have never owned a plasma so I never knew the difference, Sorry for not knowing something.
