i first watched the heath band in 1950 and purchased his records on decca every week saw him live many times all over the country i remember paying 6shillings to see him live at the tower ballroom birmingham what a night that was and i will never forget ronnie what a drummer best in the world ever long live the memouries of this fabulous band brian cleverley age 74 barcalona spain

10 years ago I had the pleasure of watching Ronnie Verrel in the wings In scarbourugh, I was backing the Bevely Sisters. He had me looking for his glasses at the last moment! lol.He watched me in the wings,bless him. The Greatest big band drummer the UK ever had and ever will have! I will never forget my experience that night and I Treasure it. He live's on in my story. God bless you all. Thankyou Scott Smith. ps He was the best in his seventies! thank you for your comment. i agree he was one of the best drummers around that lived. he done a good job doing animal on the muppets,too.
