@figjammate I told them what happened and they claimed that I was slipping it, which is why it failed! I know how to bloody drive, my foot was completely off the clutch and the back wheels weren't turning, it's not rocket surgery. I told them all the things I was going to do to it and asked if they could supply a clutch to suit, they said yes, I bought it, and it was fucked in 5 days even though I had less power than the clutch was specced for.

wats done to it matey, i got a turbo ED with 420 hp and i took it to archerfield burnouts and almost cooked mine, moral of the story dont go a water cooled turbo

@5speedfalcon Stock motor with AU head gasket, head studs and better valve springs. How come yours cooked? Mine has had a water cooled t04z for a few years now and it goes ok - I have a bigger radiator and an engine oil cooler as well though.

I ended up with an 'Option 5' twin plate from Mal Wood - a year later and it's still going strong, and pedal feel is better/lighter than stock :)

My ex has an S15 with an NPC clutch in it (there is a vid on here of me in it on a skidpan) which I have given a bloody hard time also - works very well :D

how much does it cost to have a good turbo fitted to an ED?

As much as you want to spend - turbo, manifold, cooler and piping, fuel pump, injectors, misc hoses/clamps etc, exhaust, valve springs, computer - maybe budget around 7k? Should get you 400rwhp on a stock motor if it's in good condidion - then a valve body from MV Automatics = 11s :)

i have a similar project with an el fairmont. using an r34 turbo on 7 ish psi. im in the process of completing the methanol injection(no cooler!)and plumbing the water lines to and from the turbo. this might sound odd but whats you fuel consumption like? and have you had a dyno tune/printout? im hoping for 150kw and mid14s. sweet vid. and i thought your burnout wasnt half bad. certainly has the power!

it makes 370rwhp at 10psi, but is currently off the road while I sort out piping for the upgraded turbo I bought - she'll do 500rwhp at under 20psi I reckon. Fuel consumption is a bit shocking but the tune was a rush job to get the car finished before powercruise, it should be better after the 500rwhp retune (like, over 400km per tank lol)

Skid started in second gear, shifted to third at about 17 seconds, went for 4th at 22 seconds and the clutch slipped...started in second again and tried for 3rd, clutch was slipping, I looked like a total no0b in front of a thousand people. Ended up doing the skid in second gear, so so so so ghey.
