thanks guys it was really informative, i have only tried snowboarding once till now and loved it(it pained a lot though).
but this tutotial series really gave me lots of tips to work on so i can get better and told me the mistakes i have been doing. i'll try it out in 1 month as off to slopes soon. thanks.
just finished watching the series, thanks for taking the time to put these together, a definitive confidence builder. Looking forward to enjoying some fresh carved snow
just finish watching all your video. thank you for the lesson. i am a beginner at this. what help me a bit is my skateboard background. i cant wait for some fresh powder. thanks again for your help/
heelside to toeside was the easiest for me, and i ride normal stance, i think im paranoid of toe to heel cus i almost broke my tailbone trying it last year with normal winter boots (i know... suicide...) but im set up now so im safe! haha, but your vids helped a LOT! thanks!
just a tip, when you fall especially on your back try to give yourself a hug and hit the ground with your side instead of absorbing the pressure with your wrists. I just broke my arm yesterday when trying to stop myself after I caught an edge. Also always ware a helmet when doing this, because you run a higher risk of hitting your head.
Hey your lessons 1-9 really helped me get going in just a couple of days! There are a couple of things you didn't mention and I wish I knew before so here they are :) 1. FALLING: If falling forward, fall on your knees and don't fall on your palms (almost broke my wrist lol). If falling backwards, fall on your butt. 2. KNEE PADS: Even after I managed to link turns, after a couple of major falls, fear made me regress and not be able to keep posture/balance, not to mention knees pain...
Can`t w8 to follow this lessons , learnt alone till here with no you tube or anything , but i`m still " affraid " sometimes to link the turns , specialy when going from heelside to toeside , ty guys for this lessons :)
@cristideplush it's scary at first, but if you stay in posture and commit, when you finally make a fast smooth run, you wont even think abotut falling ever again.
guys, when i learned snowboarden, it is told me to move your upper body to the direction you would like to go, is this wrong? because they say keep your shoulders paralel to the board...
@longvinefilms I dont know if you'll see this but YES a ripstick is what im making my friends practice on and its great , the only thing you shouldnt do when practicing on a ripstick is twisting it like a ripstick would its all about knees slightly bent and pressure on heels and toes pending which way you wanna go , this is a great way to practice if you're going downhill , but on flat terrain or uphill you cant do this .
They teach like they are talking to idiots, but I guess there are a lot of idiots out there. Thanks for making it fool proof! =) But if you are are doing really bad, I suggest going to lessons on the slopes.
"I MEAN IT! Don't be riding around with gorilla arms.. " HAHHAHAHHHA!
when you learn jumps and boxes remember this important tip too-- after-the-fact "balance hands" don't make up for a full hangtime of flailing arms :-)
Pretty good videos overall... definitely a lot better than most other snowboard lessons here on youtube. I hope you get to film more advanced stuff too in the future.
Great Videos, I've watched all the beginner and intermediate vids and I think they are probably the best I've seen on Youtube. Very simple to understand, keep up the good work.

@sorincali1 wrong...if u fall forward try to fall on ur fists, that way u wont hurt ur knees or break ur wrist ;)

wrong again...fall on your fore arms!
beautybabebuzz 1 month ago
@TheManulici falling on ur fists would make you MORE prone to wrist injuries.....

@airman01991 well, that's how i was taught...actually,i fall in any other way possible except on my fists or forearms
