I'm in Spain, and now I'm in the middle of season 4. But I've got my own and peculiar point of view about the meaning of that prophecy. In this episode the Oods sang 2 songs: Song of captivity and song of freedom. I think the finishing of a song is not equal to death or regeneration. When I imagine the Doctor singing his song, I imagine him playing a song of loneliness. But now I know he is not alone. He has a daughter, so this song is ending and he has to sing another song, like the Oods.
i have confirmed info!!. the rose ''theeme'' is symoblising davros who is definitly in the finale iv'e seen pics. the doctor does get exterminated but something strange happens that i know what it is.... wait to find out.....
@professorkahlil Now we know it's about a girl created from the Doctor's DNA, so basically, she is his daughter. Oooh, how cool would it be if she'd return for the next series with the eleventh Doctor?
the doctor does die he is killed by the big upcoming enemy davros and when rose comes back she brings back to life and i don't know how but donna dies at some point
David is definitely popular enough with the fans to stay on as the Doctor, but playing the doctor too long could be bad for his career 'cause he might get typecasted. But, don't panic RTD won't kill of the doctor, he'll probably regenerate in an overdramatic way.
I've seen filming photos of him collapsing and Jack, Rose, Donna and Martha crowding around him BUT...David Tennant is confirmed for the three specials in 2009, so maybe the collapse....was just a collapse. The regeneration will be at the end of the specials....I bet ya. That's not too far away I suppose?!?!?!
then again, a regeneration is rather obvious....I wouldn't think RTD and Co would make it that obvious??!?! Yet I don't know what else it could mean...other than the end of the Doctor completely, that would be unexpected and I don't think RTD could possibly actually kill the Doc...shrug.
i did find it so interesting how the entire ending of that episode was really so so happy except for that little line that was stuck in. That one line alone made my mood go from ecstatic to worried about the doctor...which of course is exactly what it was supposed to do. amazing episode...well i enjoyed it anyway! so so so good! i love the ood, donna and the doctor!
but story never ends

That episode ranks in my top 10. So beautiful. The song of the oods is amazing

I like this one. Ood Sigma is right: the Doctor's song is ending but as he puts it in The End of Time "this song is ending but the story NEVER ends."
DigimonFan1 1 year ago
@DigimonFan1
well, doesn't the eleventh doctor have a slightly different theme? i think?
so this song ends and another begins. and yes, this song is ending, but the story never ends. because another song comes.

I don't think Davros is gonna be back
Even though Russell T. Davies said he was gonna bring back an old enemy from each series he already has for series 4 - The sontarans
battlep0t 3 years ago
Yeah, but last series he had the macra and the Master, both old enemies.

One of the upcoming episodes is called The Doctor's Daughter.
About a girl who think she is his daughter.

GUYS SHHH! he doesnt regenerate he has signed u p for a fifth season and 4 specials ok CALM DOWN!

i have a theory...
the oods song is the song of captivity, and rose could be considered a captive in the other universe, if the song ends, she returns...
possible.

did you here roses theme in the background when ood siigma said "I think your song must end soon" :)

thats what i thought, its too obvious. i reckon its a read between the lines thing, cos DT is commited to the show, i dont see why he may leave
