Yeah the 90's pretty much killed anmation. Only GOOD cartoons of the 90's where Peter Pan and the Pirates,Exosquad, Highlader,and Phantom 2040. Compare that to 80 where there WHERE TONS!!!

The art style did suck hardcore. I hate how the colors in the background make no sense at all it looks like someone just took a bunch of cups of ugly colored paint and threw it on the paper.

I usually think it's because of the various art styles that cartoons tend to differ in animation quality. The really classic cartoons had great art style, so their animation was flawless. These more modern toons have more stylized designs so their animation pales in comparison, of course.
