Possibly the strongest arm in NFL history. Jurgensen claimed he could throw 80 yards in the air at his peak. Probably a slight exaggeration but not much. Imagine what he could've done in the modern game.

when you consider that sonny suffered a horrible shoulder separation on his passing arm for the eagles in that runner-up bowl against the lions in 1962, his stellar HOF career is even more remarkable. the doctor who performed the operation said at the time: "It's the worst separation I've ever seen. Every ligament is torn."
