OMG someone totally called on Sun 12/26 (we were open regular hours), a tech called in and it was me and the Pharmacist. It was super busy, the phone rings, and I answered and said "Rite Aid Pharmacy, can I help you?" and got "I'm just calling to find out if you're open..." so I said, "Ummm since I answered the phone, I'd say no we're closed today. Sorry." they said, "Goddamn it" and hung up.
@BMZ8504 They do this all the time at my place too. What a bunch of jerks. I like how you handled it though, I will try to do the same thing. it would be one less idiot I have to deal with. whats even worse is that I get long time regulars still asking me what times we open and close.The most chilling part is when they don't even fuckin know what the hell they are picking up. And I hate when people come in at exactly 8:59 with insurance problems, or with zero refills.
@cqsan not only that the hours are on your automated phone system i imagine. They are on ours and people have to wait past the option to get pharmacy hours before they get a person.
I like when you say , "thank you for calling ____ pharmacy, may I help you?" And the person on the other end says "Is this the pharmacy?"

This is hilarious. During the last hour before we close almost every call are people asking what time we close. With hours posted everywhere.
