I just noticed how OLD this video is. It's definitely outdated. If you have iOS 5, you CAN delete the song directly from your device. Just slide your finger across the song you don't want and a red delete button appears. Then just press the delete button and PRESTO! GONE!

Works for me! And you don't even have to do all that stuff Mr. Dirty Fingernails is doing in this video...which didn't even work for me anyway. So if you have iOS 5, try it! You'll be amazed. :)

I don't sync my iPhone in with my iTunes because i have a 32gb iPod that I synced it with. I don't want all the songs on my iPod to be on my iPhone so when I plug in my iPhone and select it on iTunes to edit it, iTunes does not allow me to delete songs under the plugged in iPhone section. Any advice??

seriously I do not know what apple had in mind when developing this super unfriendly software. Why is it all that complicated? To delete a song first you delete it from the library then you plug in the USB and sync it again. Oh and it is deleted. And what do you do if you wanna add? Add songs to the library plug in and then sync. Fuck this sync thing seriously not user friendly!
