  • For the ladies here imagine an Decapitated head licking your cunt.

  • The Scream of Munch

    Ahahahahahahah, you genius

  • evil chuck

    simply legend

wish he would still be making his great, unreached music :(

  • Death got real good when they decided to drop the whole "eating babies and sucking stumps" and got more technical. Human, sound of perseverance ect. Props to Death.

  • im scaed

  • actually death got their inspiration from slayer and venom and bands like that not the other way round check out the death myspace page bra

  • Chuck Schuldimer, One of the greatests that ever lived. You fucking kids wouldn't know shit about that. Check out the Scream Bloody Gore and Open Casket. Where do you think Slayer and Sepultura got their inspiration? This was the 1st legit Death Metal Band. Chuck was a Renegade and I miss him. Though not a fan of his later material, his early work was master Piece. RIP Chuck

  • Erm, Slayer's first album was released 1983, Death's first demo was released 1984, and first album 1987, I think Slayer had their inspiration from NWoBHM, not from Death...

  • Correct but Death were deth metal from 84 slayer etc were thrash but then later merged with death metal in the late 80's/early 90's.

So guitarben2000's point was that lots of bands were doing the same thing when Death were inventing somthing diferent.

I was into lots of bands at the time including these and Savatage,Megadeth,Maiden,Anthrax

  • Except when did Slayer merge with death metal in late 80s and early 90s? And what about Seven Churches? Death also had a lot of influences, he listed a bunch in Scream Bloody Gore thanks and whatever else, like Necrophagia and other big thrash bands at the time. And I don't deny that he has a point about the other things, but Slayer didn't get inspiration from Death, and they even said how they dislike death metal, or as they described it, the well-known cookie monster phrase.

  • Slayer was never death metal?

  • Every one Is correct!!!

I wasnt saying that Slayer were deth metal, I love slayer to.

All music takes somthing from other music.

None of this is punk but without the influence of punk in the late 70's these bands may never have existed in the form they are now. So how far do we go back?

    Two sticks banged together rithmaticly......

    That must have been first!

  • You said that slayer merged with death metal. They definitely had a massive influence on death metal, but never actually played any death metal themselves :P

  • Sorry, I ment Thrash metal and Deth metal convergerd a little in the 90's.

I was'nt implying Slayer were anything other than Thrash.

  • And I suppose Slayer got some of their inspiration from Venom.

  • yup

  • Chuck, one of the best
