Point is that not everyone is going to like the same music. If it gives you pleasure to make fun of other people's tastes, well, you do that. Why would people say they're from a suicidal cult? I'm from Portugal and my English teacher was reading the online Daily Mail while we were doing some work, and she came across the article (the one that talked about that girl who killed herself and MCR) and she read it to us. Seriously, the entire class started laughing at it. Most of us are simple MCR fans, and we think the lyrics are often positive and powerful. They make me feel good inside. I am only fourteen, and I would have proudly joined them, but I live waaaay North of London in Liverpool.
I imagine there weren't a lot of thirteen-year-olds there. It was the day before my birthday, as well.
Anyone who says we commit suicide are just to sallow to uderstand how much we resent that people assume we are self-harming.

Point is that not everyone is going to like the same music. If it gives you pleasure to make fun of other people's tastes, well, you do that. We'll still be here, we'll still love My Chem, and you won't change a thing. You'll notice that you hardly ever see My Chem fans trashing other people's music or whatever else about them. Why? Why would people say they're from a suicidal cult? I'm from Portugal and my English teacher was reading the online Daily Mail while we were doing some work, and she came across the article (the one that talked about that girl who killed herself and MCR) and she read it to us. Seriously, the entire class started laughing at it. Most of us are simple MCR fans, and we think the lyrics are often positive and powerful. They make me feel good inside. Honestly, I can't understand those people!

What makes them special is that they actually make an impact on fans, as shown by the protest. They are there for the fans and the fans are there for them. That's the bond they have. As fans, the people who protested against the DM wanted to clear the band's name, because the DM was picking the band out as a cause of the girl's suicide. They wanted to prove how much the band has given them. And thank you for pointing out that the protest just proves that MCR is indeed, SPECIAL.
