I just watched that film...I god damn, I'm so moved....This is a hell of a film...it's like a huge slam in the face...I always DiCaprio, but here...it's beyond words...I don't know if he got the oscar but for me he's oscared ! I think, that in the end. He perfectly knows what's wrong with him, but he never wants to go back to that mental stuff again. He doesn't want to live as a monster, thats why he says that line: What is better, live like a monster of die like a good man?. When he accepts the fact that he wants to die as a good man, he pretends he is still a madman. And then his brain thingy will be removed. (Cause I think that is still going on there)
