Is it traditional in USA not to sing any of the high notes of the father's part? You could never do that in Europe, would be just ridiculous... nice voice, though, but definitely not suitable for that role.

yes, it's on my channel.
it was a youth production and i was only 15 so i wasn't spectacular or anything like that. thanks for asking.
