Putting the puppy in a tiny box was mean. New puppies are already nervous and all the screaming and stuff is stressful. A reputable breeder will tell you that new puppies need a quiet, calm beginning in their new home and to wait a few days before inviting people over.

We've had our Lhasapoo Bentley for over 3 years. We wanted to adopt from the humane society but we live in an apartment and all the dogs we found, were too large. Later on we found out that we wouldn't have been allowed to adopt from the humane society anyway, because of living in an apartment. We got Bentley from a pet store who deals with very reputable breeders (yes, we investigated). Bentley's a real blessing to us. We love him to pieces!!!! :o)

I asked my parents probably a million times every time they say NO with no feeling or anything then I start to cry and got to my room and drag around my sock stuffed with tissue on some lanyard and pretend I have a puppy because I know for sure I'll never get one so I just watch other people get puppies for Xmas and their birthdays while I get puppy sticker books and gum and small toys. It's not fair

You don't know me to say that I am wrong, I have been through alot on this melting pot of a planet we call Earth, what I said about the Child not caring for the little dog is true, I have seen so many many dogs and cats at the shelter because no one wants them because they grew-up, and the puppy he/she HAD NO OXYGEN!!!!

@sharsal55 lol are you retarded? you think the puppy was in the box all day? lol they put the puppy in the box and then immediately gave it to the girl to open.... it would be more traumatizing for a dog to be in a cage all night then in a box for 60 seconds.

1. The puppy had no oxygen he/she could have died, Cruelty that is what it is.
2. You do not give a child a gift of an Animal, does not matter if its the child's birthday or its christmas of any other day, because kids are kids they don't understand that you have to feed it and take it out to do their business and give it water, take it for walks, all of that is to much for a kid, and you know that the parents will not do it, so the Animal ends up that the shelter and maybe even put to death.

@sharsal55 WOW! Be a spoil-sport would ya? They probbably put the puppy in there RIGHT before they gave it to her. He's not gonna die in under probably 10 seconds. SECOND, your claim on not giving a child a dog is WRONG. Yes, that does happen in some cases, but not all. Most children are responsible enough to take care of their pets, but it's the adults job too really take care of them until the child is old enough, but to say to NEVER give a child a pet is just being a partypooper...

I would loved to have seen that girls face when there was a dead puppy. Lack of oxygen is not good for a pups health.
