The RS6 would eat the V out of the hole to ... due to its quattro all wheel drive. Stock they have 450 hp... A simple chip takes it to 500-520 hp then with the few more modds listed would have it (RS6) around 565-570 hp..... This is the Twin turbo V8 U.S. model....

As an owner of a stock 2003 RS6 - who also has a friend who owns a 2009 CTS-V - I will say that a stock RS6 gives the more powerful CTS-V a run for its money. From a standstill, the RS6 tears up the CTS-V in the hole due to its Quattro AWD; however, the CTS-V quickly overtakes the RS6...1/4 mile stats for both cars is high 12s (RS6) & mid 12s (CTS-V). The CTS-V has better handling as well, but when it comes to straight-line top speed, the RS6 takes the cake. Two amazing cars!

@UFCextra Even comparing the A4, it has almost 2 inches more head room both passenger and driver, only an inch less foot room on the driver and passenger sides. It also got 5 star rating on all crash tests. driver and passenger side, front and rear and rollover resistance ratings.

Front driver headroom ctsv is only 1in difference, same with leg room. The passenger has 1 inch more in the A6, along with 1in for passenger legroom. The Audi is also wider and taller than the CTSV. Everything the CTSV has as standard, the A6 has as standard, things like heated drivers seat etc etc.

@UFCextra I just looked it up, the Audi is constructed with a monocoque steel uni body frame. And aluminum for the fenders and hood. It also has swivel style headlights that actually move to look into the corners as controlled by the steering wheel. Cheaply made? You should do some research. I don't see any of that on the CTS V.
@UFCextra Oh and also, Audi was founded In Zwickau, Germany on July 16th, 1909. Cadillac was founded on August 22, 1902. I don't see why 6 years and some change really matters that much at all? It definitely has no basis in this debate. Especially when we're talking about cars over 100 years newer than the companies they belong to. Its not like Audi was started in the 70's. Plus they have some of the most leading edge tech in the business in their vehicles. I worked on both at UTI.
@A4rings The only car Audi makes , that I have respect for is the A/S8 ...the rest of Audi's can go in the garbage can for all I care, the other ones are not "nice" cars in the slightest. Cadillac has the best interior. BMW and Benz have great interior's and so does Audi's A/S8 , but all honesty the rest of Audi cars are junkers. My family owned brand new 01 A6 and 04 A4, both cars went to a salvage yard for taxes written off for donating it. The cars were really junky on the inside especially.

Standard "A" models are just that "standard." "S" models and "RS" are on a completely different level, and the price reflects this. 04 A4's were quite cheap new, and a base priced S4 was $50k+, and you do get what you pay for IMO, and then there are RS models which are on another level.
Although the Audi is a '03 and the Cadillac is an '09. The Cadillac wouldn't have a chance against the new RS6 which adds 130bhp over the older one (V-10tt).

@cky94066 You know that the stock RS6 has 450hp, 106hp less than that of CTS-V. So the race is fair and square. The Audi is just chipped and has a modifed exhaust. If anything it only added idk... 50-80hp. Also CTS-V is slightly lighter than RS6. Debate all you want, but RS6 is just a monster. Most european cars sold in US are undertuned to meet emission requirements. When you unleash the full power of german engeneering, there is no match.
caddy has like a million cubic inches 6.2 ltr compared to the audi 4.2 and this is an older rs6 so its even less money than the caddy. some of you shouldnt say anything if you dont even know your cars. and even now that audi still looks better than the caddy i do admit caddy has come a long way but its not enough... not yet.

There's no point in arguing that the RS6 is faster than the V until some real test results come out - so shut your mouth fanboy unless you have some real info.

The CTS v barely win against the M5 and the E63 AMG in a drag race and if you take a look at M5M6board the RS6 AVANT rape the M5/M6 which means that the CTS v will get ass raped by the Lamborghini powered luxury sports car. There's a stock RS6 that race against m5\m6. The tuned one go against lamborghinis and tuned BMW. If the rs6(stock) beat by far an m5, and a ctsv barely pull on an M5(motortrend), it is clear that an rs6 is faster than a ctsv.
You should take into account that the M5 has 20inch Rims - which take away from acceleration. Also, who know's how good the M5 driver really is, so you have to factor in human error.
And I wouldn't say the RS6 beat the M5 "by far" - maybe 1-2 car lengths, which is a close race. 5-8 car lengths would be "by far".
It's not clear that the RS6 is faster than the V, because I haven't seen that video yet. I hope one comes soon...

@UFCextra I just looked it up, the Audi is constructed with a monocoque steel uni body frame. And aluminum for the fenders and hood. It also has swivel style headlights that actually move to look into the corners as controlled by the steering wheel. Cheaply made? You should do some research. I don't see any of that on the CTS V.

@UFCextra Oh and also, Audi was founded In Zwickau, Germany on July 16th, 1909. Cadillac was founded on August 22, 1902. I don't see why 6 years and some change really matters that much at all? It definitely has no basis in this debate. Especially when we're talking about cars over 100 years newer than the companies they belong to. Its not like Audi was started in the 70's. Plus they have some of the most leading edge tech in the business in their vehicles. I worked on both at UTI.

@A4rings The only car Audi makes , that I have respect for is the A/S8 ...the rest of Audi's can go in the garbage can for all I care, the other ones are not "nice" cars in the slightest. Cadillac has the best interior. BMW and Benz have great interior's and so does Audi's A/S8 , but all honesty the rest of Audi cars are junkers. My family owned brand new 01 A6 and 04 A4, both cars went to a salvage yard for taxes written off for donating it. The cars were really junky on the inside especially.

Standard "A" models are just that "standard." "S" models and "RS" are on a completely different level, and the price reflects this. 04 A4's were quite cheap new, and a base priced S4 was $50k+, and you do get what you pay for IMO, and then there are RS models which are on another level.

@cky94066 You know that the stock RS6 has 450hp, 106hp less than that of CTS-V. So the race is fair and square. The Audi is just chipped and has a modifed exhaust. If anything it only added idk... 50-80hp. Also CTS-V is slightly lighter than RS6. Debate all you want, but RS6 is just a monster. Most european cars sold in US are undertuned to meet emission requirements. When you unleash the full power of german engeneering, there is no match.

caddy has like a million cubic inches 6.2 ltr compared to the audi 4.2 and this is an older rs6 so its even less money than the caddy. some of you shouldnt say anything if you dont even know your cars. and even now that audi still looks better than the caddy i do admit caddy has come a long way but its not enough... not yet.

The new RS6 is not faster than the CTS-V (stock). The 2009 CTS-V is curently THE FASTEST production sedan.
When you get in to mods and tuning, it's a different story. But for a small price, the CTS-V can pump over 750hp easily.
The RS6 pushes out 580hp with 479 lbs. of tq. it weighs more than the CTS-V which has 556hp w 551 lbs of tq.
You say "nobody will remember the CTS-V" - yea ok. Just like nobody remembers the now iconic ZR1?

Motortrend tested the M5 against the CTS v on a drag race and the CTS v barely won. The new RS6 kill the M5, so it will also kill the CTS v ! The CTS v is faster on a track because it isnt as heavy as the RS6 is.

You do know the RS6 on M5board is highly tuned, over 750hp I believe, so that doesn't really fit into this.
Furthermore, I'm not an American Fanboy - I own a BMW, and I think the new RS6 is one of the best new sedans, but for $100k I'd get a V and tune it to 850+hp
The RS6 is heavy and needs more torque if it's going to get to 60 in less than 4 seconds, or 4.5 for that matter.
So let's recap
RS6 = about equal hp, less tq, more weight and you think it will beat the V in a 1/4 mile?

There's a stock RS6 that race against m5\m6. The tuned one go against lamborghinis and tuned BMW. If the rs6(stock) beat by far an m5, and a ctsv barely pull on an M5(motortrend), it is clear that an rs6 is faster than a ctsv.

You should take into account that the M5 has 20inch Rims - which take away from acceleration. Also, who know's how good the M5 driver really is, so you have to factor in human error.
And I wouldn't say the RS6 beat the M5 "by far" - maybe 1-2 car lengths, which is a close race. 5-8 car lengths would be "by far".
It's not clear that the RS6 is faster than the V, because I haven't seen that video yet. I hope one comes soon...
