I remembered seeing an episode of "Northwest Passage" on TNT. What MGM did was they would have Leo the Lion roar at the beginning of the show instead of the end, while a voice over said "From the MGM Studios in Hollywood". This wasn't done on MGM Parade (which you can see on occasion on TCM) and I don't know about the Thin Man.
This was from MGM's first color series, "NORTHWEST PASSAGE" (1958-'59), adapted from one of their feature films. This was the studio's third attempt at a weekly TV series, after the "MGM PARADE" (ABC, 1955-'56) and "THE THIN MAN" (NBC, 1957-'59).
