We lost 2 cats in the span of a month (one got hit by a car, one got sick) When we lost the first cat, Luna, we were beside ourselves with grief. When we lost the second, Anubis, the pain was indescribable and I know I personally have yet to get over his passing and this was over a year ago. He was only 6 months old. I'm a 41 year old man and when Anubis died I was reduced to sobbing like a 5 year old girl. They aren't pets they're family members and I'm glad Garfy had such an awesome mom :)

Cats/kittens are like a part of the family, my cat is my big sister, yours would have been a son/daughter to you. I know what it feels like, my old cat ran away, my nan and grandad's cat died.. I nearly died from crying when you said 'your paws are cold' :''(

Then I decided to adopt an adult 2-year-old shelter cat and she is so extremely sweet and compassionate. Even though I haven't had her for long she has grown completely attached to me and trusts me.
RIP Garfield and my kitty. you brought your families so much joy.
i feel your pain about your cat because my cat die at july 6 2010 at 5:31 p.m and she was only 136 in human years in cat years 14 im so so so sorry about your cat Garf Gart . my cat name is Scarlett and again im so so so sorry.

My parrents used to have 9 cats and i grew up between them. My mother had one particular grey shorthair wich she was really fond of, it was her baby so to say, she raised it from kitten to adult. The cat managed to get to a good age of 22 years old, one remarkable thing is, she waited with dying as strange as it might sound. The cat, she waited for my mother to return home, when my mother picked the cat up it seemed to become at ease and passed away peacefully in my mothers arms.

i hate when animals die, i just wish that everything lived forever. i just had 2 of my cats die this week. they were both hit by cars in the same day. one of them was paralyzed then died 2 days later.

The hardest part about being a pet owner is knowing that we will one day have to say good bye to our companion. but the thing is us pet owners are stronger people because we know that saying good bye is not the end. 24 years is a long time for a cat. I'm sure he was one happy cat by your side. Loved the whole time. These situations make us wish there is a heaven. I'd like to think there's a cat heaven, simply because lovely creature like this can't just died. We love them so much we wish it'd never end.
