thank you to all singaporeans and non-singaporean volunteers who participated in the yog as volunteers and the schools in the wcv, as well as the people of the city of singapore where i found "best wishes, athletes" posters all around. it was a fantastic experience, something I thought i'd never be involved in at my age. it is definitely a motivation to keep training and improving.
I love sport so every Olympics are a perfect month but YOG... They're kids just like me! I was beuatiful to watch! Most of all they're having fun. And they're living their dreams. What else could they ask for?
I was in the opening ceremony & I think Singapore was very successful facilitating the IOC's wish to instill the YOG with features distinct from the senior Olympics, including the desired outcome of bonding friendships across nations. We can see whether the YOG will make its mark in the so-called family of Olympic Games in London 2012 as the first batch of YOG alumni will enter the senior Olympics; whether or not the friendships bonded in Singapore remain after 2 years. I'm sure it will =)
@lightofwadowice Hi. Most of the Youth Olympians, who graduated in Singapore, would only be able to participate at the Rio De Jeneiro Games in 2016. I believe, they will definitely be proud to say, my Olympic journey, started off, in Singapore.
A very nice song. Hopefully they would release an album on all the original songs used at the first YOG. Anyone can upload the upbeat version of this song that was sang at the opening ceremony
Missing YOG again... Miss the trainings for performance... Miss the F1 pit, the float.
And I miss her too.

@olwetuor The Singer is a 17 year old Singaporean named HELEYNA-ANN LACHICA FERNANDEZ.
The song composition by 3 local composer/musicians - one of which is Iskandar.
The 3 awesome musicians accompanying Heleyna-Ann are all Singaporean Youth.
