  • theres somethin called tour lock pro that came came to my club for demoing and hey, i dont blame anyone one for calling it cheating cuz i made 23 putts with that weight in my shaft

  • I have no idea about the rules but if players can use putters with shafts that go all the way up to their chins then i don't see any problem with this.

  • its not some revolutionary black market product. simply a counter balance weight inserted under the grip, gives the feeling of much more control of the club. fairly common and definitely legal.

  • Harrington is just such a cheat isn't he. I might call the police

  • Jack Nicklaus used to put weight in the shaft of his putters

  • i have that putter

  • rule 45.34.2.3.8: you must not scratch your ass with your index finger. pinky is fine though

  • @bogeyhitter25 , man seriously get off golf . Your name says it all , you are a bogey man , a loser . Because your frustation you are insulting other guys on the net , just because YOU SUCK AT GOLF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it's legal, as long as you don't adjust it DURING a round.

  • C'mon lads give us a break. I don't use it anymore just in practice. Nice to see that you all have so much interest in me.

    Paddy

  • @paddyharrington SCREW YOU HARRINGTON! Lol, just kiddin.

  • what is the thing on the shaft? I use a belly Rife belly putter so prob wont help me. you are always on the top, so let it fly,

  • Rule 4-1

If it's a homemade thing, it's not legal. If it's done by the manufacturer, it must be put under the ruling of the R&A

  • CLASSSSSS!!!! Top notch dude. Keep up the self improvement. You prob have loads of friends! cool.

  • A club pro calling people assholes on the net..... very classy!!!

  • extremely classy, what a fantastic rep for the club.

  • screw you assholes

  • @adrock182 go back to medinah

  • As long as Harington doesn't change the position of that brass weight fixed to the putter it's legal.

  • fuck you man, just because every body isnt tiger woods and doesnt win every time they get the chance doesnt mean they suck, and i would like to see you beat harrington or perez you fucking dick

  • you mean in nett score? lmfao

  • dude it was a joke there were no facts to rely on don't be such an asshole yourself.

  • I thought you were about a 13.7 handicap.

  • aw man. a guy from the forum!!!

    i had qbb01 going to

  • Hehehe ;)

    Still better than mine.

  • so he beat you?

  • yeah by 2 strokes. the lucky son of a bitch.

  • @bogeyhitter25 You're a dumb shit bro.

  • @bogeyhitter25 yeah 3 majors, harrington really sucks right, wow you are a prick

  • come on golf is thee most picky referees in sports certainly he wouldnt have that putter out if it wasnt aloud

  • Your fuckin stupid.. whats the difference between adding the weight on the shaft then increasing the weight on the putter head?

  • Do You like Hewey Louis and The News?

  • of course its legal. All the equipment is checked carefully by someone before players start.

  • Im sure he would have made sure it was legal beforehand

  • after we saw padraigs unbelievable putting this year i hope we can agree that his putter is legal

  • its legal

  • Listen when you see the R7 driver with its endless screws, its definitely legal. And did yous here that there is a new driver coming out with detachable shafts so you can mix and match to suit the conditions. It takes some of the skill out of it.

  • I have that shaft in two of my putters and its pefectly legal.

  • I saw that in Golf Digest it is not illegal.

  • I notice that Harrington doesn't seem to be using it anymore. Anyone know whether this thing is for real?

  • Pretty sure if he used it two weeks in a row its legal.

  • He won the Open using just a normal steel shaft though.

  • Yes it is legal, You can check out more information about the shaft at Torpedo golf. We went and explained to Ken how it works.

  • i have attached a"gotcha" weight to my putter shaft. it is NOT legal unless i affix it permanently to the shaft with a shaft-piercing screw. this is the same for the "super sroke" grip hat kj choi uses...it IS permanently screwed to the shaft, also, with a shaft-piercing screw. believe me...this will really help your putting.

  • Can't you alternatively epoxy it in place?

  • i believe that the epoxy would make it legal, also. it basically must be a permanent part of the shaft. i use the 11 ounce "gotcha"; it's placed about 3 inches down from the grip. works wonders!!!! i tried it up and down the shaft until it felt best. good luck and let me know what you think....regards, bud

  • I wonder why the Super Stroke is legal only when permanently attached, but Tiger's Ping black out putter grip is legal. He uses it because it is much smaller in diameter which gives him better feel at impact. So he is in fact using it to an advantage. Why should a player be forced to adhere to a rule when anouther player is not when they are using the equipment for the same purpose? They are both looking for better feel through mechanics but are just going about it in different ways.

  • its only legal when permanently attached because if it was movable, that could change the playing characteristics of the club during the round, which would be an infringement on the rules. its the same with the r7. ur not allowed to change the screws midround.
