Don't think this song fits the seriousness of Michael Corleone's pain and loneliness at the end of this film... but anyway it shows that life isn't about the grandest ideas and ambitions and dreams of glory and power, its about the connections you make, the people close to you, friends, family etc... without that you are nothing.

even with sofia coppola's sub-par acting in this film, this part always sends shivers up and down my sine and goosebumps on my arms. i think i nailed it today, i think it might be the way pacino grabs her corpse. how he looks like he doesn't even know what to do, almost like he's never seen a dead body before, which is cetainly not the case. but that... breathtaking. that's what it is. heartbreaking and breathtaking.

@softcelltainted22 No. i think what it is is because Pacino manages to find such an expression of agony with his face that it actually looks like his soul is literally in hell, also because the rest of the family are looking at him fascninated with horror, becasue they sense the spiritual reality of this
